Sudden FPS drops & Poor FPS with CPU/GPU underutilisation

Here are my specs:

• GPU: RTX 4080 (rests at around 30-40% utilisation, temps in low 40s)
• CPU: i9-10900k (rests at around 40% utilisation, temps in low 70s)
• RAM: 32GB DDR4 (XMP Profile 1)
• Running apex off of 1 TB SSD (4TB total storage)

I keep having random frame drops whilst in game from 300fps down to 150? I'm not sure what the problem is as I usually get a stable 300 in the firing range. I'm wondering if this is just poor optimisation on Apex Legends or not. To date I've verified the integrity of the game files, re-installed the game again, re-installed drivers, updated BIOS, and have done this: Delete - > C:\Users\YOUR-USER-NAME\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\assets.

If anyone could help or point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.
