Terrible performance with AMD Driver 23.2.2

I've been using driver 22.11.2 for a few months now and never had issues. Updated yesterday to 23.2.2 and the game feels really bad performance wise. Stuttering and framedrops are the most noticible.
Between rolling back to 22.11.2 (that was running fine) and going back to 23.2.2 because I wanted to be sure it wasn't just a side effect of a dirty driver update, this morning I was noticing above normal CPU usage (~40-50% when I'm usually on 30%) and the game also happened to crash (again, first time in a few months).

I already went back to 22.11.2 at the time of writting, but can provide a dxdiag or other diagnostic info if it helps solving this.

System Specs (generally): W10 21H2, R7-5800X, 2x8GB DDR4 3600GHz, RX 6600

  • I've now rolled back to previously working drivers and the issue is still persisting.

I've ran repairs and tried different older drivers, now trying a full reinstall

Performance is notorioiusly poor on every GPU, incliding 4090 im playing with. I think the problem lies between the first line of the program code and the last line of the program code made by EA/Respawn.

  • i have the same driver and no problem

this issue only happens one time when you install another driver
i think its a shader cache problem

Have you try to run first in the firing range like 5 minutes?

the first time is allways bad

    Try that
