This happened to me recently, but I'm just posting this to let others know it will work itself out within an hour or so no need to unlink accounts and panic, etc. You don't want to introduce a new issue trying to troubleshoot this one.
I've been playing Apex on my Xbox for years and recently got a PS5. I decided to log into thanks to cross progression. After a few weeks of playing on PS5, I find that I'm no longer able to log into my Xbox version despite having turned the PS5 version recently.
Respawn, would be nice to have the lag time shortened between different machine logins. It should be such that any gamer can instantly shut one system down to jump on the next seemlessly. Please continue to improve that.

Thanks for that dude. I just started playing on my PS5 for a bit because my daughter was using my Xbox to play Minecraft. When i got back on an hour later I got the message that another device is logged in. I freaked out, but seeing your reply gave me a sign of relief. Fingers crossed it works itself out.

@PapaPonchoo I get the same message when switching between my PC and Switch.
The way I've found to quickly switch between the two platforms is to do the following:
1) Whichever platform is logged in, return to the main menu of the game and wait a few seconds
2) With the first platform still on the main menu, boot up the game on the other platform, and it should let you jump into the game
