I also have the same issue with new recent frame drops after 2 days ago from 180+ down to 70-80 avg in fights and 130 fps tops........
CPU: i9 9900k
GPU: 2080ti
Every other game runs fine. I've repaired like 8 times, reinstalled the game, reinstalled drivers, took any OC off. Nothing is working.
I finally found something that worked - turning off Nvidia Reflex:
- Open the Origin Launcher.
- Go to My Game Library.
- Find Apex Legends and right-click the game.
- Select Game Properties.
- Click the Advanced Launch Options tab.
- +gfx_nvnUseLowLatency 0 to disable NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency.
Let me know if it works for you!

This is really grieving my RP and I'm going to fall out of pred because it's just too terrible to play.

Wanted to make sure this is not just a complaining thread so took a couple of days to make sure:
wiped PC, reload all, loaded suggested drivers. The same thing, the game is broken for me.
My question with all the respect: why an out of the blue optimizing patch? There was nothing wrong with the performance? I was locked at 151, probably close to 200 if not locked to monitor refresh. I now do 90 fps, this is not even real, cant be. An optimizing patch doing this?
I have spent a fortune on this game over the last 18 months. (Welcome to check my account), only to find one day, a little 30meg "optimizing patch" to do this? Im sure it is natural to be a little bit more than just pissed. (Please go check how much money I have spent on this game, you'll be surprised)
So now this patch is forced on me, can't roll back the patch, so what now? At least Nvidia drivers can be rolled back, or is this the deal? Sorry, I'm still very suspicious about this little "optimizing patch", does not make any sense.
anyway
