Were you able to fully download and launch the game? From what you described it sounds like some files may not visible to you due to permissions and/or there are some firewall restrictions for the download. Make sure the Origin client is added to your anti-virus exceptions list.

that was not helpful AT ALL. all it did was make the computer unstable and an easy target.
