Verifying game after every update i do

I'm download a game and each time there is an update, I download 2 "Updates" then it "Applies the update" then its "Verifying" I downloaded the game about a week ago and recently got an update (it did this when I downloaded the game too) in this case the game is Apex Legends. why do I have to downloaded 2 consecutive updated then "applying update" then verifying it. is there something wrong with my client or does anyone else have this because its getting very annoying.

This happens after every update I do on EA App, I download a "10gb update" its then "applying update" then its verifying the entire game "55gb"

    @jaayio That's the normal process. After downloading and installing the update, the app will verify the game files. However, verifying the game files should be way faster than downloading an update of the same size. If the verification process is taking too long that's probably because of the hard drive where your game is installed.
