Visual Glitches and Stuttering in game
At the start of Season 7 Apex was running smoothly. Over the course of the last 2 to 3 weeks no matter what settings components or hardware I use to play apex legends I get Visual glitches and Stuttering in game/screen tearing (however this doesn't necessarily correlate with in game frame drop). My VRAM, CPU, and RAM usage never play max out during game play
My GPU depending on the video settings and/or the number of Bangalore and Gibraltar ults in my line of sight will on occasion max out.
CPU: Intel Core i9-9900k (8 core) 3.6GHz Processor
GPU: RTX 3070
Windows 10 64 Bit
I have gone ahead and attached a DxDiag
Here are things I tried:
Repairing game files
Uninstalling and then Reinstalling Apex
Capping the frames at the refresh rate.
Uncapping the frames.
Capping the frames slightly lower then the refresh rate.
Capping the Frames significantly lower then the refresh rate.
Running APEX with the in game video settings ranging from the highest to the lowest and everything in between.
Vsync on and off within game
Gsync on and off within the NVIDIA control panel
Messing around with the 3D settings in the NVIDIA Control panel
Updating NVIDIA drivers
Rolling back NVIDIA Drivers
Swapping in an RTX 2060 Super GPU
Playing using this monitor: Acre XB272 240hz 1080p
Playing using this monitor: Dell S2716Dg 144 hz 1440p
There are more things I tried but cannot think of at the time of this post.
My ability to troubleshoot has reached a limit and I hope someone has an answer so I can play Apex Legends without animations skipping or weird visual input delays.
Your graficcard runs at x16 3.0? You can check that in windows with GPU-Z.
Lets try a config change:
- navigate to C:\Users\*username*\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\local
- copy the videoconfig.txt to your desktop (so that you have backed up your settings and can restore them later if necessary)
- open the videoconfig.txt in C:\Users\*username*\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\local
- delete all
- now copy and past this:

Play apex, and tell me if it's better.
