What is an SID?

So if you don't already know there is a small tag at the bottem left of your screen in the lobby something along the lines of SID: (insert a bunch of numbers and letters)  What is this used for a...

noobl3fty26​ SID stands for "Server ID", so all this does is tell you what server you're connected to.

    noobl3fty26​ Correct, there's nothing to worry about as the SID is only the Server's ID.
