It doesn't require and EA account to log in. Only on PC do you need one. Eventually they will probably require you to have one if they choose to make it cross platform which I believe is the plan. Basically working like Fortnite. On console you don't need an Epic account to play the game. Only if you wanted twitch prime skins or to cross play with other platforms. Sooner or later they will have a log in for it on Console im sure.
Well the Twitch skin came today but you still can't ☹️

well i know this is a week ago (what i mean a week ago is these posts) but still I logged in to apex but you still can't do it
Unless they won't update or do something to the console versions of the game us can't get the skin then

Same problem here
Try the following:
1. Go to help.ea.com.
2. Select sign in (or log out first if already logged in with an account).
3. Select your gamertag/psn as login method instead of mail/password.
Follow the steps from there on. This should link a new made EA account to your gamertag/psn if you haven't done this before in the past.
Same I acquired the Twitch Prime skin and Apex crates, but can't acquire them in game because I have a ps4 and can't link my playstation to my E.A. account. I'm just waiting for them to add the ability for me to log in so I may acquire my skin and crates.
just spent the better part of two hours trying to sync various accounts, seemingly to no avail but i went to the web browser app native to the ps4 and went to ea's website and logged in and checked apex and i had the loot pack. Idk if it just took some time or it really was the logging in on the ps4. makes sense that apex distances itself from ea and is great, then as soon as they have to use ea's platform it gets screwed up.
- Tried this but it didn't work. Hoping it's a time issue and I receive it later.
