It's most likely because your PSN/XBox account is linked to a different EA account. I'm having the same problem and have already been in multiple sessions with tech support.
I also have the same problem, but what I think is that our gamertag isn’t connected to our EA account. EA doesn’t give us an easy way of doing this, so we have to try and find a game that isn't Apex Legends and sign in to a game that EA provides online to. I’m not sure if it works, but I’m giving it a shot.

For everyone still having this issue of not getting the loot, i was trying today aswell to get the new apex loot off twitch. Nothing showed up in game that i received it and twitch said i claimed it. after a bit of fiddling around (unlinking profile etc) i found the loot, it however didnt give me a pop up saying i got it. i just found it unlocked in my loadout and legends tabs. just double check there to see if you havent already got it unlocked.
