All of my stuff has been relocked. Got 230 apex packs

I logged in today and was very surprised to see that I had 230 apex packs waiting for me to be unlocked. I then noticed that my Bloodhound had the default skin. I went to the character select to find that they have all been relocked, and that most of my currencies have been lost.

I am definitely logged into the right account, as my level has not been reset. I am still level 504, as I should be. I am still in the correct club, and the default characters other than Bloodhound still have the correct skin visible. However, once I click on the character and go to the skin tab, the "default" is checked, and once I exit the screen, it changes the skin back to the default, so it seems the "correct" skin I saw was actually just an illusion, most likely a cached image.

I wanted to complete the current battle pass today, but I'm afraid that if I make progress now, it'll somehow conflict with restoring my old content?

I'm assuming all of my content is locked away in those 230 Apex packs, but I'd really prefer not to open them all, especially because that might run the risk of not getting the same stuff, and I don't want to equip it all. I have not unlinked my Steam & EA accounts at any point.

    Welkom op de Nederlandse forums! Dit blijkt te gebeuren als de link tussen je accounts niet helemaal goed gaat. Ik raad je aan om contact op te nemen met onze live support om je Steam en EA account te ontkoppelen, en daarna om ze zelf opnieuw terug te koppelen:

    Thank you for the reply. I will contact them, but I want to make sure it is the correct solution first. As I have heard that unlinking my accounts could cause content loss just like this. I have not unlinked my accounts, and even checked now that they are still linked, but I want to avoid making the issue worse by asking an EA agent to unlink them. Are you sure this won't cause any further issues?

    Ik heb het nogmaals aan een collega gevraagd die een specialist in Apex is, en hij zij precies hetzelfde. Het ontkoppelen van accounts kan inderdaad content verwijderen, maar als je je accounts terugkoppel dan krijg je het weer terug.

    Ik snap dat je 100% zeker wilt zijn, maar als het goed is zal dit niet extra problemen opleveren.

    Thank you very much for the reply.
    I wanted to get back to you and say that upon logging in today, everything has been restored back to normal. I did not get to contact support to request an unlink as you suggested, but fortunately the problem is alright.
    Hopefully this helps others in the future if they run into this issue. Just wait it out.
  • And one more update. The problem has happened again, unfortunately, one day later.

    I'll contact EA support and request a manual unlink and relinking of my Steam account, as you recommended

    If anyone has any more info on this, please share, or at least make your voice heard if you have the same issue 🙂

    One (probably) final update. I held off the unlink request because the support agent said they couldn't guarantee it would fix the issue, and that it even ran the risk of making me lose more content. Considering they were so uncertain, I held off. The ONLY way I could consistently revert my game to the proper state, was to uninstall on Steam, reinstall on EA desktop app, launch the game there, then uninstall, and reinstall on Steam. I tried many other steps and it was the only way to make it work.

    Although a very tedious solution, it seems with the latest season the issue has been fixed, thankfully.
