2042 is not a Battlefield game; This is why BF5 will have more and more players.
This won't be a long feedback post.
EA and DICE need someone to hold a mirror to their thick heads, for them to understand what they did wrong.
This is that mirror.
The number one issue with BF2042, is that, it's simply not a Battlefield title.
This game doesn't have ANYTHING to do with the franchise, other than the damn name of the game.
Both 2042 and BF5 had rough launches.
The difference is, BF5 actually had the potential of being a good Battlefield game. 2042 is VERY far from that potential.
Players are going back to BF5 now, because they miss their Battlefield dose- since 2042 does not give you that.
I have never bought a game, and regretted buying it, as fast as I did with 2042.
Within a week I realised the full extent of my mistake.
Within 2 weeks, I realised how stupid I was, to support this dumb mess by buying it.
Within 3 weeks, I was done. Dropped the game faster than I ever have before.
Specialists, specialists, specialists.
Whoever thought about this system, tried to eat a piece of the pie, and leave the pie whole.
(Try to attract players from other games, and hope that the loyal Battlefield playerbase will still like it.)
This system does not fit a Battlefield game. Anyone who truly likes Battlefield will tell you that, instantly.
I regret buying the game.
And I regret letting the refund window slip away from me.
I also regret supporting this mess.
I was hoping that maybe, just maybe, after so many years of disappointments and false hope, DICE and EA will actually care about the product they make, and not focus entirely on how much money the product can make.
I was wrong to have that hope.

2042 is a hero shooter nobody asked for in Battlefield and sadly EA thinks it's the future of the series. So if it's not a 'Battlefield' game now, it will be later
