APS36 vs C5 vs Explosive Bolt @DICE
Yesterday it was already very late when I unlocked the Explosive Bolt and I probably did not take the problem properly to the knowledge. But the Explosive Bolt is recognized and taken out by the APS36 Sentry. Which is quite sobering when you only have 10 bolts and it takes fore ever on an ammunition crate (It seems that this thing counts as grenade….)
Thus, these bolts are pretty much taken out of the game, because in the situations where they would be most useful, they bring nothing to the table when you defending or Attacking of a Point.
So, I need to ask the question why this bolt is recognized by the APS36 but not thrown C5?
It is already hard to hit a moving target at 100+ meters but just not triggering when you hit an enemy and then they only need to steps close to an APS is kind stupid.
If the explosive bolt is destroyed by the APS, then thrown C5 should be recognised when it is thrown a distance more than a meter, this also would reduce C5 the spam a lot.
Also, the ingame description is as follows: “APS36 Shootdown Sentinel – This compact system automatically tracked and intercepts any incoming grenades and missiles in its immediate vicinity”
So, if I take this text the explosive bolt should not tracked and intercepted it is not a grenade or a missile (related to the ingame description it is an explosive casing attached to the bolt's tip, so it is still a bolt 😉)
So, @Dice please look into it this, the Explosive Bolt is not like a grenade for a grenade launcher this should be more similar to a projectile of a Sniper rifle. And with a bolt count of 10 and a hit rate of around 40 % no one will play this bolt when half of these bolts also gets killed by an APS36.
