mmh i play on PC only and turned cross play off
in my observation I had not one game with AI players and only a handful games which are not full
yeah, sometimes I have to wait around a minute but I think this could be que when around 124 players are joining at once and every PC\console is difference in loading time
But now to the problem, if I’m right the Server start with full AI and removes it when a real player is joining.
As wrote before 128 players are joining at the same time and landing in a kind of que to join the server, which will remove all AI from the map
but due to the fact that ever player has a different internet connection, different PC, consoles and so on the connection and loading time is different for everyone which causes some impatient player to leave the sever also it could happen that some players losing connection on the joining process. All this seems to delay a round sometimes, which for me are more rare than usual.
This is only my opinion and observation, and as mentioned I had only a handful matches that where not 64x64 since early access and I need to mention I’m playing in European region
