Battlerecorder Please
I already preordered the game and I am as exited as the time when BF2142 came out. I am hyped about all the new features and was wondering if it will have some kind of battlerecorder like BF2 did? A ...
I'd guess that BF2042 will have spectator mode like previous titles, so people can record using their DVRs.
this should only be an option, so if you dont want everything written on your SSD, for example, if you never watch replays, you should not have it write stuff you dont need. Excessive write like Denuvo Austrian thing, stuff that are removed by Jack Sparrows for their better experience. People who pay for their product should not be taking slaps for those who do not. And in turn, should not be forced to alter their software in such a way as to increase hardware lifespan. I have a 480 GB nvme SSD, no HDD, 4,5 years old. So, if I for example choose to record, I should have the option to, if I choose not to, I should not have it, for the sake of not filling up my SSD with useless stuff.
Options, customization are everything. Do not force people who never look at replays to record them. (like sy DoW and CoH games) that you have to make a folder unable to write.
I remember BF2 battlerecorder was a server side thing. it wouldn't affect your pc. you would have to download it from server. But with todays pc, if you can run BF2042 it will handle replay. Same with GAT5 and no one has complain about the replay taking a performance hit.

Hi @ElliotLH ,
Have you tried yourself how easy it is to report anything to the console manufacturers, even including the many times we have experienced the EA BF game to crash on us?
The screenplay is automatically registered on the device and we have the option to allow aka Sony SIE team to capture this and attach to any reporting that we may choose to proceed with to them. And all done, it is just 2-3 clicks and it is completed. No fuss. (and yes, Sony do respond to us within minutes typically, if reporting mal practice of any kind)
That is the kind of ease of recording/reporting we expect to have in a triple A game as Battlefield from a company the size and global reach as Electronic Arts!
Battle Recorder was one of the main tools for combating cheaters. being able to go back and watch them snap target people through walls and stuff was awesome. was a very useful tool to keep your server as cheat free as possible.
