I'd like to make a VIP Royal in Portal.- 128 Players Free-for-all (Squad Death Match)- 4 Player Squads- Re-spawn only allowed Squad Leader- Squad Leader can not re-spawn.I know Squad Deathmatch is not a mode we are given, but there is an option for Squads up to 4 Players in the Free-for-all mode, so I am assuming we can use that to make a Squad Deathmatch. However, I don't see the option in the Portal preview to restrict spawning. Am I missing it, is it just missing from the preview, or is that not an option we are going to get at all?Please respond if you know the answer! And give a source if you can!

@TrasteTh Not that I saw during my very brief fiddling. My thinking is somewhat based around the info we've seen about not being able to build BR modes, where things like no respawns are a common feature, so there's a chance at the moment that I'm totally wrong as it's more of an assumption. Edit: I did not mean to mark this as the solution (finger slip). I'll ask a CM if they can change that. Apologies.

@X_BattlePHILd_X I doubt it, as we're still tied to the game modes as they were implemented in said game versions. And "Free for All" was never ever a game mode.

Correct @X_BattlePHILd_X ,That preview we got access to here today on the Portal was just a silly mockup with many functions not available/visible to us. Aka all the options in the logic game rules were not included...

@X_BattlePHILd_X Don't think we can restrict spawns entirely, like with your idea where the squad leader can't respawn.

@X_BattlePHILd_X I doubt it, as we're still tied to the game modes as they were implemented in said game versions. And "Free for All" was never ever a game mode.

I spoke too soon, if you go under "Custom" there seems to be a Free for All Mode. And you can do a 128 player count!

@Threedog1421 I'm just wondering if we can restrict re-spawns. I saw the option to restrict Squad Spawn to only the Squad Leader, and I saw there is an option to increase the spawn timer to as long as 18 seconds, but I couldn't find the ability to completely eliminate re-spawn (permadeath). Just wondering if we can do that. The options are so deep, I was kind of feeling hopeful!

@EL_DUD3RlNO Interesting... Seems like we could find a way to make this happen, and if it works well, maybe they could make it a more clear option. Not sure how much they are planning to support this mode, but it seems with it being a brand new thing for the franchise, they will need to put a lot of man power on it in order for it to succeed.
