Per today's podcast Rao's hack will get a big buff.  It sounds like it will apply a SOFLAM like targeting lock in addition to the hack.

Though no one takes advantage of the SOFLAM locks now - even with launchers supposedly over represented.  

Unless there's further changes to the hack he'll be trash tier.  

@AngrySquid270 Because it's implemented poorly, only if you use your M5 do you actually see a lockable target and even then it works poorly. If they figure out a good way to alert people in the correct way so they can pull out their M5s and take advantage.

Dice seems to be changing everything to go inline with the class system so you gotta look at the whole picture, class changes is just one of them.

It's funny how the class system is showing how terrible all the mechanics are implemented now that you gotta rely on intel from another player to fulfill a role.

Battlefield always worked with classes before 2042. It is the normal thing to do.

If anything, I like more the new way the classes will work cause the one part of the classes that I hated in the past were the weapon restrictions that funneled most of the playerbase of playing assault in in past titles.

How many times in past BF games, were there not enough players playing engineer because they could not have assault rifles, so the enemy vehicles were having a field day?

How many times were was not enough spotting of the enemies because people did not wanted to be limited to long range rifles or because the only players who picked recon wanted to snipe without spotting?

@X-Sunslayer-XI cannot possibly see the game being any worse than before after they add classes.

Honestly a sniper that manages to survive long enough to need more ammo is either an amazing sniper who slaughters while surviving or someone so bad that the other team does not even bother killing.

They are not unreachable areas if people can reach them without glitching.

Yes, BF4 did a good middle ground. If BF does not die as a franchise after this "what a day to be alive" bulldung, then I hope the next BF game is basically BF4 in gameplay

One could argue the player base is split between, BF2 days, Bad company series, BF3/4, Battlefield 1 and V plus now Battlefield 2042. All of these games have a lot in common but also cater to different styles of play it's not split the player base it's just a big player base with a lot of different preferred ways of playing their way of what Battlefield is.
