Cross gen play with pc
Wondeing if BF portal will have crossgen play with ps4/xbox? if not then could you make it so pc players can join the smaller 64 player lobby's to play with last gen consoles?, so keep old gen console players with 64 players and smaller maps but let new gen/pc decide. id like to play with my friend even if its only in portal, I feel like it would be nice to play the smaller maps and 64 player lobbies if people want
Cross-play in general will be limited in BF2042, no matter what you play. If it's All out Warfare (multiplayer), Portal or Hazard Zone.
It's only New-gen consoles + PC, and Old-gen consoles are seperate.
If you have friends on New-gen consoles while you play on Old-gen, you can still play with each other if your friends play the Old-gen version on their New-gen console.
As BF2042 comes with a Cross-gen bundle, they can install both game versions on the New-gen console and therefore can choose what application they wanna start.
If they start the Old-gen one, they'll be limited to the 64 players too as it's about the game version you run and not about the console. 😉
