Honestly everyone in Battlefield 1 is sick of bright blinding fog glaring like the sun, making you unable to see 5 meters, or rough stormy weather (Empires Edge).What's with BF2042 throwing storms at us on EVERY map and EVERY round? Is it THAT HARD to just let us play a shooting game? Seriously?Stop spending hours on producing this nonsense in future BF titles. We want a war-like shooting game. Make beautiful MILD weather ambience, let us shoot players, and give us a server browser, squad management, admin controls and persistent servers, ffs.Edit Note: I'm talking about extreme events. Mild weather immersion is nice.

@0_Katsui The new map screams flood zone they could have had a dam as a secret objective that could be taken out. The result would be a floating ship and debre field acting as path's to a/c sector.

So stranded would be a sector usa side c sector russia side then b the ship.

Eveyone would be playing then a alarm and massive flood changing the map just like in battlefield 4.

@0_Katsui I like the dynamic weather change in BF V and generally its good to have a dynamic environment in battleground. But for 2042 I agree that unfortunately storms didn't add anything to joy of playing.

I think they could be okay, if they were rare or actually made a noticeable difference. At the moment they are just a nuisance. Well in the way that it's currently being implemented I agree it's nearly useless and is getting in the way for the wrong reasons.
That said, I think the effects for storm, low visibility and heavy wind blowing branches and stuff around can be an interesting meta, but only if implemented properly so that it has real strategical meaning. Currently, it's implementation is merely annoying, more than anything else, I think.
Yes, it can kill you, if you're not careful...but that doesn't tend to affect the outcome of a match, so who cares really?

The weather system have always been a gimmick to try and get appeal in the casual crowd
It doesn't add anything of value to the gameplay, they are an annoyance more than anything else

I agree it didn't add anything to BF4 and it doesn't add anything to 2042.
