Unbelievable. 25mm cannons got a 2x overheat increase but didn’t even mention it in the patchnotes. Just when I thought the devs might have finally gotten something right with the transport miniguns they come and do this. Now the transports are still impossible to take down. When the gun overheats and make the loop around all the damage done is already repaired. Even better, people kept parachuting out of it and launching rockets at me when I get in range. At this point, I just want to know why? I keep seeing the devs say that they are meant to be transports, yet everything they do suggests the opppsite.

Here is what changed in Update 2.1: F-35E Panther / SU-57 Felon - 25mm Cannon HeatPerBullet increased from 0.023 -> 0.028 and Dispersion IncreasePerShot increased from 0.032 -> 0.035 We'll have this change reflected in the Update Notes.

Unless of course there are plans to add a new dedicated fighter for the US and a new VTOL jet for RU.

@Straatford87 Why don't you put the jets to how they should be and how they are in BF3. 25mm is ridiculous and 30mm is a waste of a weapon slot. Jets are useless as they are and we only have 1 per side when in BF3 there were 2 per side.

@UP_HawxxeyeAgreed on jets imbalance. E-brake is not the way to win(solution) dogfight.

@CPT_GASLIGHT that sound like an unintentional change.
Especially considering how almost nobody does much of a killing in jets.

@Straatford87 Good morning, could we please have some intel on that one? Was it omitted from the patch notes or were the 25mm cannons accidentally affected similarly to how the Avancys had SMG headshot multipliers?

HeatPerBullet increased from 0.023 -> 0.028 and

The numerical difference looks small. How did it manage to feel so much more for the OP? Unless the scale is not linear but logarithmic
It might be worth double checking if the new numbers actually match the current ingame values, just to be sure

I highly doubt they will change it. Asymmetry as been a theme in recent BFs. What they really need to allow is for planes to actually perform defensive maneuvers other than just flying in a tighter circle and or the VTOL stall on the F35.
