False positive bans
I just got a false positive banned from BF2042 this morning, while I was not even home... how is this even possible? I guess its rip my ultimate edition. I believe another user @Gryphonv got the sa...
I was falsely banned also, at the time of my ban I had these programs running to compare to yours you listed
-Discord
-Nvidia Experience
-Logitech G Hub
I have these programs installed but not running when playing BF2042
-NZXT Cam
-MSI afterburner
I have a question also did you ever install MSI dragon center or MSI mystic light? Because when I got my new pc I wanted to change the lights on my GPU and ram.
Played Apex on my new PC and got a game security detection error, 100% new it was MSI dragon center, uninstalled it and never touched it again but it could have left bad files that triggered EAC for 2042.
All I can think of is changing my mouse dpi in my Logitech G Hub app from 800 to 400 when playing.
Waiting on EA to answer appeal. We'll see.
……. Do you guys think we was born yesterday?
I have a msi laptop too , it looks like I have some of those programs running too and got banned yesterday and didnt even launch the game yesterday... Tried to play today and was surprised to be banned... Did they answer your support ticket? What can we do?
Makes sense.
But the point of us posting is to help ea realize that theres something wrong and that there are maybe many false bans. I have a gaming laptop from msi with nothing installed but origin and battlefield. If I am getting banned because of some preinstalled programs on my pc ,thats really unfair!
At least give a warning or offer to close/uninstall something ??
When the game launch tomorrow we will see if many more of these posts pop up and see how many people are wrongly banned.
Also this isnt proof or anything but I'm pretty sure in the 2 days I played my k/d ratio is probably around 1 or negative ..so this doesnt make any sense
I was banned this morning before I was even awake. I found out while I was waiting for an oil change and was browsing my emails. After further investigation, I couldn't figure out why until I came across something on Reddit which mentioned checking ea data from my account. I put a request in for the data and received a JSON file a while later. Going through the JSON file I found a successful log-in attempt in a totally different state and many failed attempts outside of the US. I didn't have a 2FA setup and I had the same password for years. If you were banned that might be something to look at.
