Ok DICE really need to stop listening to the BF3 Fanatics who want a carbon copy of BF3... These peoples have portal to make their silly rules and nostalgia trip .. where they can even disable prone ..The base game slide since the beta as been Nerf to oblivion and is totally ridiculously useless now .. BFV had a slide and sliding isnt a COD features they copied it from other games like they always do with everything , copping Battlefield , PUBG , TItanfall and so on so the COD BS comparaison is silly beyong the word .. Bring back a slide that is AT LEAST similar to BFV sliding ... No need to be APEX legend slide but at least BFV slide leght ... FOR C sake

Sliding has no place in a BF game unless it's very limited and has a large cool down period so it could be used for diving behind cover but thats it. When I see people jump spamming and sliding all over the place it just reminds of a CoD/Fortnite game.

@OskooI_007 Everyone that wants the slide should go outside and slide 30 feet or so, let us know how it goes.

Sliding, bunny-hopping and the ability to jump from leg-breaking heights without serious injury were never features I favored in shooters.

@Stew360 I don't want an 'old school' experience, I just find sliding to be an incredibly poor, and abusable, mechanic that isn't fun.However, with the tone of your posts and your belief that your subjective opinion is the only valid one, I do find it incredibly amusing that you believe you are a 'grown up' here.I've played plenty of Battlefield over the years, so not sure why you have jumped to that false assumption?

Fix the Slide and make it like BFV slide not this unworthy 1 feet slide non sens

@Stew360 To be fair I hate this slide too, because it doesn't get used to duck in cover, it gets used to slide out of cover firing....

I agree, slide in BFV felt much better and mainly useful in CQB disorientating opponents around corners and such, I miss leaning and crouch-leans as well while in a standing position.. now "slide" is just a visual thing that has no real function except slowing you down .. yes they need to stop listening at many of our complaints sometimes as they often relate to a certain type of players, a certain type of players wanted slide gone and that certain type of players mainly scoped players seeking players to stand more still, it's really not a good reason to remove excellent features just because some say it looks silly

@BangExperienceYou used it in a way it was not intended to be used, it virtually made you un hittable.
Just to add, it is still useful for getting in cover, and people still use it to fly out of cover shooting.

BFV slide felt a lot better and smoother, 2042s is clunky as hell currently, I find the whole movement not great in general though.
a case of if it ain’t broke don’t fix it to me.
