We are begging you PLEASE give us HARDCORE, old school Battlefield. We don’t need anymore Call of Diarrhea and Fartnight type play. BF4 is still alive a doing great. Battlefield 5 was beautiful but the game play was terrible it played like call of diarrhea. Please give us hardcore. Thank you

I actually support the OP. It will be awesome to have the option to play in Hardcore mode. Makes me appreciate every sound/visual effects I notice in-game. Is that shadow an enemy behind the rock? The footsteps that I hear around the corner.. are they allies? Not being able to "spot" enemies or see them on the map is a sweet spot for players who want to take it to the next level of immersion and IMHO should not be removed. For crying out loud - it's just an option to play like that on a server that has this mode on. Live and let play.. man.

@readyornotpunk The problem is the majority of players that like the COD type gameplay are short term. They will jump to the next COD/Fortnite/Apex type game.
The players that preferred the old style Battlefield are still playing it and are waiting for it to return in a new game.
Hardcore settings are easier to achieve than a campaign.

DICE should focus on the majority. Is that not why the campaign was stripped out.
There is many people out there that love Hardcore servers too.
But at this point we don't know yet if there will be any in BF 2042 at all or not, since nothing has been announced yet.
Maybe they'll be there at release already, maybe just added later with like a RSP too. Who knows. 🙂
Right now we can just wait and see, whenever we'll get more and closer details about the game along the way towards the release.

Hopefully, there will be a separate hardcore mode.
Then the masochists that like that stuff can have somewhere to self flagilate themselves and stop trying to get normal mode changed to suit them.
