How long do you usually play a Battlefield game before you get tired of it?
And what would need to happen with this new one to keep you playing longer?
For me, there are a few things:
* Controlling cheaters
* Fresh content from time to time (new maps, new modes, new weapons)
* Letting players just play, instead of manipulating the game, weapons and matchmaking
* Allowing players to play more in the way they want to play the game (solo, coop, multiplayer, bots, whatever makes them happy)
* No bullet sponging game mechanics
I never desire for a game to become unplayable, and I will usually faithfully play a game until I notice that the game has been changed, and the feel is different--like a change has been made in the Matrix (yes, movie reference), and it usually isn't a good one. If I feel like I'm being artificially handicapped, or manipulated, I'm done.
What do YOU need, to make this new Battlefield game playable for a long time to come?
