We all expected BF2042 to continue line 2 like it did with Battlefield 1942, 1972 (Vietnam), 2, Special Forces, 2142. We all want to remove forced internet connection so people can play with bots without connecting to DICE servers . .
This will raise online and interest in the game.
On behalf of the entire player community: please remove internet connection enforcement and allow people to play with bots offline.
Having an offline mode to play with AI wouldn't hurt anyone who owns the game and has an internet connection all the time so I don't see why a certain group is against it. It's such a shame to see people against something just because it's something that wouldn't benefit them. It doesn't hurt them either so I don't see what the issue is.
This wouldn't really affect me because I probably would have my internet connection (hopefully) on even if I'm playing bots but I can see how it benefits a lot of people. I would assume the internet connection is just to tie this mode to the game's progression system (and possibly have some achievements around it) and to prevent users from using a cracked version of the game and play vs AIs for free (though I'm not sure if it actually deters them)

Whilst yes, computers are developing at a pace, comparing 2004 era 'bots' to artificial intelligence that will allegedly learn is a bit of a stretch.
Fact is there are numerous reasons why there won't be an offline mode with 'bots' but you guys fail to accept any of them, simply kissing them off to continue your self entitled demands for it.
I care not a jot for such a mode as I am unlikely to play it and it wouldn't bother me if one is eventually included, I am simply being realistic and open possible on reasons why it is not included.
There will be technical, planning, resource and/or financial reasons why but you lot seem to think it has been excluded just to hack you off.
