MAPS lacking Armored Air/Ground vehicles

Please don't tell me this is the direction you guys are going with on vehicle balances........

(Kaleidoscope)

-2 Armored tanks per team and only 1 attack aircraft per team on 128 conquest?!?

-This is extremely ridiculous 1 aircraft slot between jet, attack chopper, and nightbird to be shared among 64 players!?

-This is not enough vehicles of this type and only 1 person per 64 players can use them...  We will never get a chance to use these vehicles EVER! 

-Someone can spawn camp these one or two slots and not give a chance for other players to use them! 

-Its already been bad enough before patch and now you've made it worse!

-Lower the amount of light vehicle transports and increase the armored tanks/attack aircraft if the frostbite engine can't handle extra vehicles. Or put some of these vehicles into their own categories.

- 2 jets per team, 3 heli's per team (apache/nightbird)

- at least 3 tanks per team

I bought the game for All out warfare combined arms not infantry only conquest...  You are catering too much to infantry only players, there are other modes who those people can play on.

By doing this you are destroying the All out warfare fan base!

2nd Screen shot from Discarded 8 light vehicle slots and more than half are not being used.. Everyone goes for the heavy tanks/helis. 3 tank slots per team to be shared with AA tank. Thats completely unbalanced. AA vehicles should have their own category 2 per team

Some of those light vehicle slots should be moved to the tank slots! This game is lacking tank vs tank gameplay. before you had 4 per team on discarded and orbital and it was better balanced. now you reduced to 3 and plan on reducing it to 2....

-Played 6 rounds already and i cant get into any vehicle besides a light vehicle this is really bad!!!

    Trailer (jet on jet combat, attack chopper, at least 3 air vehicles on one screen) vs what we got (clear skies)

    I assume you are referring to me here....

    Care to post the quote where I explicity said I didn't want to swap kits to deal with vehicles?

    The only comments I've made on this matter are:

    -The stinger is boring.  Lock on/automated weapons are inherently unfun.  I'd like to see a skillbased, dumbfire, AA launcher option. Lower skill floor, higher skill ceiling.

    -Such a skillbased AA launcher should offer the user some hope of downing a good pilot.

    I can only imagine how much more triggered you'd be if I actually asked for a hard nerf to vehicles or a hard buff to the stinger.

    For what it's worth I'm not the vehicle hater you make me out to be. Other opinions I hold:

    -C5+Drone should be removed.

    -Wingsuit + C5 should be removed.

    -All Battlefield maps should have planes and tanks

    -My best Battlefield experiences were in Desert Combat modded servers with 12+ heavy armor and 7+ air vehicles per side on 48 man servers.

    From my understanding, this is something that is already in the works (adding more cover etc). I would be surprised if things stay as they are, but it is probably worth noting that it is easier to reduce the # of vehicles compared with reworking every map and adding cover.

    My guess, this is a temporary workaround to ensure maps aren't unbalanced while they create opportunities for infantry to find cover.

    Many times when I wanted to get in a vehicle even before the patch, I found there were not enough of anything that I  wanted to use.

    What the infantry needed was not to feel like fish in a barrel  by having more cover from anything with a long range or large hitbox.

    I'm also waiting endlessly to be able to spawn into a tank or helicopter/jet... Before 4.0 it was decent and now its horrible... Whats worse they have plans to lower the vehicle count even more..

    Think I'll be heading back to BF5 strategic conquest


    so basically you do not help your team win cause you are in the spawn screen camping vehicles?

    It most certainly is. There are active individuals on this forum even who have  explicitly said they dont want to have to swap their loadouts to deal with vehicles... despite that always having been the requirement in BF games previously if you werent equipped to deal with something. And we even have a specialist that allows it to happen without dying/respawning.

    Vehicles in this game are, and have always been, structured around squad based game play. And the multiple nerfs already to heliocopters because people cant be bothered to pick up a stinger, spawn an aa or use a soflam and an M5 is just absurd and was totally unnecessary.

    Now we have a slower and shared spawn on these vehicles and they're totally inaccessible. 

    I used to be able to get attack helios a few times a game, now i cant even get one more than 1-2 times across two or three maps.


    Being too lazy to swap your load out to deal with vehicles!? Then why are they playing a battlefield in the first place!? So is the true problem with specialist because players cant be bothered to adjust to the change in the general structure of battlefield!? I’m just starting to realize that they have developed themselves in a corner. Lack of incentive for squad play makes it frustrating for previous battlefield players playing 2042 because without help a single soldier barely scratches the paint of air vehicles. When people wise up and start playing cooperatively, Angel can provide the resources for being lethal against air or ground on the fly and then it will break the experience for pilots. Sounds like they need to add some vehicle to vehicle modes or add vehicles back to existing modes and maybe reduce splash damage or circle of damage to infantry? Then when people accept 2042 is never going to revert to previous BF’s and start playing based on what it is and not based on what it isn’t they can adjust balance from there.

    I'm in the spawn screening waiting at least 10-15 min for an armored/attack vehicle slot to open so I can use one. Some rounds I can't even get one and forced to play infantry. Because my goal in this game is to have fun. And vehicles is part of that fun and why I buy every single battlefield game. If dice didn't make this horrid change and better balanced vehicle count/type I would be able to spawn into one and help my team out. And this isn't some major league tournament. Winning is the least of my worries. Whats important for me is to enjoy the game and All out warfare conquest is where I enjoy it and why I bought the game. As it currently stands I am disappointed with having 1-2 aircraft slots (jets/helis) and 2-3 tank slots (tank,AA,MAV). Its near impossible to get one!!

  • I Strongly support this solution from @Marshennn 

    This allows every vehicle type to be utilized simultaneously, not trading heli for jet like we are now. Adding quad bikes to call in system/spawn will greatly increase transportation and less running. 

    Lets say for instance the game engine only supports 20 vehicle slots per team maximum. 

    - 2 Aircraft per team

    - 3 Attack chopper per team

    - 2 Heavy air transport per team

     -2 Heavy ground transport per team

    - 5 Armored Vehicles per team

     - 6 light transports per team

    This would be much more appealing and balanced for All out warfare conquest. Of course vehicle count would vary on map type, smaller more urban maps would have less vehicle slots. 15 per team, this concept would still be good. A lot better than 2 tanks per team and 1 aircraft per team.......
