So as one of hundreds maybe thousands of clan/platoon founders or leaders, it infuriates me that DICE once again have communicated NOTHING to us about a platoon system where we can add our members and clan tags in BF 2042representation MATTERSDICE doesn’t seem to understand that much of the strongest supporters of their franchise come from BF clans who play their titles rain or shine, great or not.to this moment of the posting BFV platoon system two years later is STILL in draft… and they didn’t even have one until months after launch which is unacceptablewow

I Think they might kill it. Nothing in this Game is made for playing with friends so far. Except Hazard Zone of course. The Squad join system was garbage again and on the pre-BF1-Beta-Level where it didnt work at all.

@Steve081372 I said a few months back that I fully expect platoons to be watered down, there is a trend going back to bf1 where each game has made platoon features worse and worse, I wouldn't hold my breath for useful platoon features is what I'm saying.

We need as minimum like a classic Battlelog system for BF2042!And so far EA have done nothing to answer the community on this very frequent and valid request...

And yes, it also worked for the console world, as I have been on since inception of BF4.Best used through a PC browser, no matter your gaming platform.So better have that, than absolutely nothing, which is the case so far for BF2042.Among others, the Battlelog provided:Soldier XP progress tracking, ribbons, medals, awards.Soldier statisticsGlobal, regional, local leadership boardsWeapon and vehicle unlocks.Ability to setup your default soldier/vehicle loadouts before starting the game.Assignments and tracking their completions.Soldier emblems.Clan organization, memberships and related clan community chat forum.Battle game reportsServer browser and select to join.Think it did a pretty great job at this, despite maybe not perfect.

@CloudMcRipThat's because pc used to be the main platform for battlefield, the only thing wrong with battlelog was having to join a game through it (pc problem).And battlelog had almost all the features you mention.Not to mention the fantastic social features, battlelog was ahead of its time.I would argue they need to stop wrecking the ingame UI in order to make it work cool on consoles, keep the UI simple and use an app or something to manage our soldiers and platoons etc, I mean who doesn't have access to a browser or smartphone these days?Basically I disagree with everything you said.

@Steve081372 Have they ever had a Platoon system?

IMO they need to fix the commander/squad system first. They broke that in the move to Bad Company, and the commander has been watered down ever since. Squad and commander play and communication has never been remotely close to where it was in BF2 and BF2142.

@Steve081372 Maybe thats the point, since many Communities/Clans take their game, and do something else with it, like own ban lists, superseded server join queues, limits on classes and weapons.
Sure they made these settings available to us, but isn't their game any more, it becomes ours.

@ArchAngeL-PCX Thank you for bringing up BF2142. By far the best battlefield game yet. Battlefront should have been a re skinned Titan mode in the Star Wars universe!

No, at launch we'll probably habe no platoon/clans just yet as nothing has been either confirmed or mentioned.

For later we didn't know either if there will be a new Platoon system coming in general, to start from scratch. Or if you couls somehow implement the already existing Platoons from Battlefield Companion.

But Battlefield Companion items will most likely not support BF2042 in it's function.

So if, then we have to expect something different. 😉

Just bring back Battlelog as it was back then for BF4 ❤️ to support all BF games via there.

@CyberDyme Battlelog was very bad implemented specially for the console playerbase. If I recall BF4 it doesn't really work neither. Everytime you hit the wrong button you had to wait 8 seconds (4 seconds to load up the battlelog and arround 1-4 seconds to close it again). So I am glad there is no Battlelog again. In theory battlelog sounds great but it was poor performed specially for the console playerbase.
