Parachute, input delays, and the overall feel of the game
I've now died numerous times to my parachute not deploying, even though I'm spamming the hell out of my space bar. This is one of the most obvious problems with the input delay in this game and the parachute not deploying showcases it perfectly.
In general, the games responsiveness needs some major attention. If not 2042, whatever the next game is, but it needs to be noted and voiced.
One of the main reasons why I play video games in general is how it feels to play them mechanically. For the most part I enjoy BF2042, but the input delays are a huge source of frustration. Sometimes my gun won't fire for a full second, parachute won't deploy, tactical sprint won't engage, etc. There's just something very off. I don't remember feeling like this in other BF games.
Standing on the edge of geometry shakes your screen badly. Some of the animations are way over exaggerated, like Liz reloading her rocket. The tactical sprint makes you feel like a box, and something I've always hated about COD games. It's always pushing you wide when you're turning in really weird way.
To sum up this mess of a thread:
- Stop using COD as inspiration for movement. I always thought BF games were infinitely smoother and felt way better to play.
- The input delay needs to be acknowledged and fixed in upcoming titles.
- Chill on some of the animations.
