My head is spinning so bad it's not funny.
I keep thinking about buying another copy, but why should I have to? And what's to say this don't happen again? Logic says that if I got banned for something I never did... then more than likely this can and probably would if I did opt to buy another copy.
Then it all just comes down to how pissed off I am. 284 hours is a lot of freaking time to put into a game and then have it literally stolen. Then add in the stolen $95... and yea... why would I even want to go down this same road with a company that's treating me like yesterdays garbage?
Maybe I should just hold off till I get a response to phone support requesting another investigation being done. If that ends up coming back the same way with not lifting the ban... then do the charge-back and take my money somewhere else. It really makes no sense for me to buy another copy and end up going through this same pathetic nightmore all over again.
@MrGuffe I bet they get paid per reply, haha
@-NME-M0710NM4N Don't buy. Don't spend a dime any more on this company. As long as we don;t know what caused the ban in the first place you just will be banned again. Is that worth ur money? Is this game even worth your money? This dumpster fire? don't think so
To ultimately play BF2042 you need to have an origin account. I think your EA account has been banned from BF2042 across any platform IE your 'gamertag' (EAID) is burned in BF2042.
So if you really feel the need to keep spending money with EA please make a new origin account to avoid heartache. Also since you do not know why you were banned, you could just easily reactivate whatever timer they have on handing out bans and lose your brand new account in a few weeks. Until we know wtf is going on I don't think people should be spending another dime with EA. I love BF2042 but I love my money more lol.
EDIT: Why not play BF4 in the interim? BF1 and BFV are extremely boring, and despite being dated BF4 still plays really well in 2021.
- @-NME-M0710NM4N DO NOT pay any more money until this issue is fixed. I repeat, DO NOT pay anything. It isn't worth it brother. Let's just see where this goes first. Do the charge-back in the meantime if you can but don't pay anymore.
Un FKN believable...
"Hello,
We have received your most recent correspondence expressing concerns about the action that was taken on your account.
After thoroughly investigating your account and concern, we again found that we actioned your account correctly after it was found to have violated our User Agreement. We will also be unable to provide any details regarding our internal procedures.
Due to this violation, we will not remove the sanction that was applied to your account.
You can review the full User Agreement at http://tos.ea.com/legalapp/WEBTERMS/US/en/PC/
After completing two full investigations into your complaint, we consider this matter closed."How exactly do they investigate in within an hour and then still not disclose WHY?!?!
Ok... time for another phone support... and someone gonna get an earfull.
if they just remove PC FROM CROSSPLAY...
IT WILL BE A DREAM FOR CONSOLE PLAYERS
Earfull given. They sent over yet another request to take a look at the case and also asking if it's possible that AutoHotKey could have been what flagged EAC. I'm hoping to get a response back as quickly as the last... I won't be able to sleep till then because I'm so furious.
- @-NME-M0710NM4N Sorry to ask but just to clarify, is it your bank asking for those requests?
- @thegoodcharles No nothing to do with my bank since I haven't even spoken to them about a charge-back.
This is all EA. They requested the ban be looked at a 2nd time and the email back stated they did another investigation and that I was still found to have been cheating... and they won't tell me how exactly I cheated. So now waiting for a 3rd investigation and clarification on if AHK could have been the issue. - SirBobdk4 years agoSeasoned Ace
It can not be true that you cant be told why you are banned. It does not seem reasonable. At least just whether it's a 3 party software or something you did wrong in the game. But nothing at all is just not Ok, imo.

Well, sir, try to explain that to the incompetent EA workers.. good luck on that one.

Yeah console players are annoying with their modded controllers- @SirBobdk It's a complete cluster fk. And them saying "unable to provide any details regarding our internal procedures" is a bunch of BS. Did I ask how their EAC works, how they ban etc? No... I asked what "exactly" was I banned for... that is NOT asking about an internal procedure.
Imagine being pulled over by a cop and this is how it goes down:
You: What did I do officer?
Officer: You broke the law.
You: How and when did I break the law?
Officer: I'm not gonna tell you.
You: But officer I didn't do anything!
Officer: I don't care... now pay the $1000 and step out of your vehicle because we're gonna take it.
See yourself standing on the side of the road holding a fine and watching your car be towed away.
So... now you're supposed to just be perfectly fine with what just happened?
Pfft! - @-NME-M0710NM4N EXACTLY. THANK YOU
You will not be told the exact reason why your banned because in the past many people when told specifics of their ban went straight to their cheat provider to tell them that their cheats have been detected.
The cheat providers actively tell them to try get specifics of the ban so they can work around such issues……that’s WHY!
Well, I got my email this morning giving me the exact response I expected. I don't really understand why they are writing people off so easily when there is clearly an issue. Hell, if nothing else why not give people the benefit of the doubt, because if we really are cheating we'll just get banned again, right? So why the apprehension? I really believe at this point they are actually banning random people so they have good numbers to report, and claim they're making a difference against cheaters.
- @emerson1975 Well if that's true that's just outright stupid. Cheats have been around forever and whenever a game developer changes something to stop cheats then the cheat developers turn around and fix whatever is needed for the cheat to work again and then the vicious cycle starts all over again to Infinity.
But I don't care because I'm going to keep asking. Don't have to block my phone number to stop calling and asking. Because I'm not just going to let them take my 300 hours and my $95 without a damn fight. - @-NME-M0710NM4N It’s just one of many tactics used to try slow down development of cheats.
No game developers or anti cheat tell you specifics of bans anymore and haven’t for years - @SpookieSkeleton I don't know what to believe at this point. I feel like their needs to be at the very least... some semblance of transparency and not just some vague accusation and expect us to just accept it.
- @emerson1975 That was like 10 years ago. I really hope everyone stops using this theory because it's seriously flawed in so many aspects. The cheat providers are way past this point.
If people use cheats from a cheat provider I am quite sure both themselves and the cheat provider already understand why they are handed the ban.
In my case the detection is described as the following,
"EA cheat is saying that they cannot tell exactly why the user have been banned. They have found an external injection in the user's BF2042 client that they classify as using an intentional and invasive technique. The fingerprint is matching known aimbots and/or map hacks."
I'm quite happy with the depth of that description, but I would further like to work with EA support to find out more about this false positive. I'm sure they would still find, whatever it is, on my computer and fingerprint it more closely and then hopefully whitelist it, or maybe rework the technique they are using to finding these injections. - @indi81 First off... how the heck did you pull off getting such an explanation and I get a "unable to provide any details regarding our internal operations."?
As for this injection they mention in your case... do you happen to use AutoHotKey? I'm waiting to hear back from my 3rd attempt to get this overturned, if my use of AHK may have triggered the ban. - @indi81 Ok please share this so we can all see?
- @emerson1975 it's in a private chat over private channels under discretion. Not giving any more details as I don't want to cause trouble.
@-NME-M0710NM4NAre you serious…autohotkey is basically macro’s and is against tos and is banned in multiple games!
This is all starting to make much more sense now

Done the same, but still waiting for an answer. Regarding GDPR a company has to hand over additional data/explanations if asked for. So he might just have asked them about further details and exact reasoning according to our laws as EA is having a lot of branch offices all over europe and Dice HQ is also located over here.
