I sat in one and spent the entire match repairing...it never went down...nearly the entire match! Pilot was playing some smooth latin jazz. It was strangely calming just repairing, flying around, never going down. Yes, its a flying tank.

Really? Haven't you guys noticed when it uses 40mm, it flies low asf. Now since Liz is buffed, still not enough. This forum is trying to get to the point where infantry wants to be untouchable. No support at all, time to find work around.
Cause if they nerf that to the ground, next step is when mg is op and after mg nerf, there are too many mgs. Just speculation, but feels like that.
- ZRuff463 years agoRising Ace@Man_iLoveFishing I mean it doesn't always mean it flies low. Plus even if it did, the things a tank. Most pilots strafe by and if they get hit, they just fly off to repair or usually someone's repairing them. If you have the main gunner getting ridiculous amounts of kills with very few deaths, and this happens damn near match after match, it's too strong. It's a transport helicopter, not a flying tank. It should not have that much health and the primary gun needs to go so it can be utilized as you know a transport vehicle.

Literally had 4 matches back to back yesterday where the players in the Hind were damn near unstoppable. The primary gunner had 80+ kills each time. And each match was a different group in the Hind. And the few times one of these groups died, they just wait for the Hind to respawn then go back on their rampage. One of those matches, they died 5 or 6 times but just waited til they could get the Hind again. There are groups that know how extremely broken it is and are taking advantage of it.

When players on the ground coordinate with tracer, javelin, and soflam/rao, DICE nerfs it. But a coordinate group of players in the hind are nearly unstoppable.

The point he makes is the Hind is easy pickens for Missiles. There are 2 issues here that are making them tough
- Not enough people are playing engineers. JMHO, give Assault missiles and that is fixed
- People who play engineers are not paying attention to the class design.

Been this way since the 50mm (apologies if I've remembered the calibre wrong. Am tired) was nerfed in my experience.
- @DigitalHype DICE doesnt understand balance. They're nerfing the things that can take down that which is already OP.
- ZRuff463 years agoRising Ace@Padding_Ur_Stats My point is that it wouldn't be hard for the pilot to flee and hide. Plus with the fact the pilot can repair and having someone in the passenger seat repairing. It's hard to bring down. That's what I'm seeing on a daily basis now

They're still out of combat AND, this is why Lis Rockets have a 600 meter range now. Just dont boost (it halves your range when you do). That being said, they have been doing this for years.

You have a medic with a syrette and a med pen. If they want to remove players to repair, that is called Teamwork. The foundation of this game is based on that. They have every right to teamwork to survive as we do to destroy.
That's what I'm seeing on a daily basis nowNow? It has been a part of the game since I have been playing. I started week 6 of season 1.

We the people had the choice to build our load outs. Prior to the change, I was in games were vehicles ran roughshod because people didnt carry missiles. Other games, there was a good rotation of vehicles being spawned and enjoyed. In fact the biggest problem was people using macros to grab the vehicles. There was a good turnover of infantry air and armor.

- Psubond3 years agoLegend@Padding_Ur_Stats I have tested it. Plus the math requires it. If range ia 600m and velocity increases then fuel consumption must increase for range to remain constant

By the time I reloaded and my ammo replenished, it'd be back at full health especially with someone repairing. A syrette and a med Pen literally has nothing to do with this. That doesn't matter when you dead since the 40mm kills very quickly. When did I say repairing needs removed? I didnt. The health needs reduced and the primary gunner seat needs removed or the 40mm needs some major adjustments. I'm not saying that teamwork is not ok. I encourage that kind of stuff. But with the class update, it has become completely overpowered. Before the class update, I was not seeing players getting 80+ kills in the gunner seat near as much as I am now. Now I see it almost every match. And based on the response on here, quite a few people also agree.

She isn't supposed to solo, hence the long cooldown. The benefit is the cooldown begins on the first rocket. That being said, it is 20 seconds. If 2 people are targeting the vehicle, it will go down like Pam Anderson in her wedding video.

It is called comparison. Infantry have healing opportunities, just like vehicles.
When did I say repairing needs removed? I didnt.
You misunderstood the statement. If they have 2 people repairing, they have removed 2 people from general combat to repair. I may have worded that poorly. Hence my statement that they are allowed teamwork to survive as much as we are allowed teamwork to destroy.

Don't confuse your wants with game needs. Health is fine IMHO and the health hasn't been changed.

Again, you're confusing your wants with game needs. That being said, I believe the gunners are fine.

Yet, if they have players repairing the vehicle, you want the health of the vehicle reduced. That doesn't track.

I did, often. In fact many posts shared Screenshots of people over 100. That being said, I do agree with one thing. The class update changed things. Not because vehicles are OP, but because only 1 class has rockets. There is a huge reduction of people carrying rockets because only 1 class has access. This would be resolved by giving Assault rockets as well.

It's a skill issue if you're getting farmed by a Hind with a 40mm grenade launcher. As you said, the pilot has to fly super low and expose themselves to all sorts of dangers. By running the 40mm grenade launcher instead of the 50mm canon, you're giving up the ability to take out the defenders ground vehicles. So that means a well placed jeep with the 50mm canon and other folks playing engineer working together should be able to take it out if the pilot decides to overexpose.
A good MAV is far more deadly than a Hind with a 40mm grenade launcher.
