TwentyValue is correct, the script devices on console controllers are becoming an issue in all games at the moment, ,not just BF 2042. I have seen the issues first hand in BF2042 TDM, as it is really obvious when you have smaller teams of 6 vs 6 or 12 vs 12. I don't even report it anymore as it is common, to be honest. This trash is sold on AMZN, and the reviews tell the full carnage being inflicted on the legit players...
So in truth the 98% of console players not using these "mods" are getting accused of "Aim Assist OP" accusations. From my personal experience, aim assist sucks on BF as I play on PC and Xbox Series X and have better aim accuracy on PC...
To counter the 2% who use these trash devices, I'd suggest playing portal in smaller groups as easy to spot and/or simply change to another server when the impossible keeps happening.
The other trick, which is what I do, is only play BF2042 for the first 3-4 weeks after release of a new season. That floods the servers with thousands of new players who play legit, to where you are not getting abused as often...
And to add to the issues, the cross-platform net code creates all kinds of WTH moments, basically is it like having a drunken referee which creates all kinds of issues depending on the ALAT, LAT, packet loss, and general connection quality of all other players. Which of course is more frequent when playing with 128 players in AOW versus only 16-32 players in Portal smaller game modes...
I get it, "Aim Assist" is an easy target for the "Weirdness" that occurs online in BF2042...but the truth is more complicated, and insidious...
