Welp that just saved me 60 bucks.
Lets hope the next one they go back to actual battlefield.

Apex legends is one long journey of balancing/adjusting skills of the legends and this could easily be the same for BF
We know that Dice has this one-size-fits-all approach and things that work in HZ will perhaps be very problematic in conquest.
This can also mean that the game is 'half-broken' a lot of the time, because some specialists will be OP, until their skills are adjusted. This will be an ongoing issue especially when Dice introduces more new specialists over time.
From history we know that Dice often are very slow to make adjustments to the game and this could end up be very annoying in BF2042. Now they not only has to balance weapons/vehicles but specialists also.
Not to mention they have a propensity for over reacting to balance issues that often ends up with them spending several months of work and patches on a single issue.
- @Noodlesocks like the Type 2A?
@ragnarok013That about sums it up.
Not to mention the "new" specialists we'll get, going by what's been shown so far, will probably fall into the "counter the other guy" category.
If not they'll have to come up with some "revolutionary" gadget each time they want a new skin bumper, and i don't see that happening.
My first nerf money now goes on the wallhack specialist, closely followed by whoever can blank out their map/spot ping (maybe reverse order)- SirBobdk4 years agoSeasoned Ace
It's ok to try something new, like 4-6 specialists instead of classes with access to all weapons and gadgets.
I would have been ok with that. But 20+ specialists with more or less weird specialties is just ridiculous and can prove impossible to balance.
Again we get a system for the sake of the system and not for the gameplay.

or just play Portal where specialists are entirely removed from the games to play and bring in the classes, balance things as people see fit and whatnot, make the ultimate weapon only you can use control night and day!
- @Noodlesocks How is this a "wallhack"?

The only specialist what i think will be a problem is realy Paik. The ability of wall hack appears too op, we need to know cooldown and others aspects of the gameplay, if we see the video the hability have a battery what indicate the time she have to finish, starts on 1:47 and after passing 7 seg has +/- 30% battery, 10 seg is the duration if in 7seg we loss 70%? Maybe ... But looks very strong, maybe more if dont have to how "counter" like Rao with hack for exemple, or emp pulse.
Dozer and your shield maybe a problem too, in other leaks i read that the shield bounces off light bullets ... How works with heavy and medium bullets? Dont know.
I really understand people don't like the experts but I think we really needed a new way to play, I was actually a little tired of choosing the same things, even though I had fun.
