Request for add new urban maps.

Hello, I would like to make a request for a new map based on an urban context, because apart from the Kaleidoscope there are no urban level maps like town.

I think it would be great to add another urban level maps, I might suggest something like Siege of Shanghai, Dawnbreaker or Sunken Dragon from Battlefield 4 game, for example.

I think it would be nice to have some urban context maps with Asian setting, I could suggest places like Hong Kong, Shenzhen China, Tokyo Japan or Taipei Taiwan.

in addition to this, a development of the maps focused on urban combat, between buildings, streets, roofs, making the maps a mixture of CQC and medium-long range, but avoiding very open spaces for infantry such as the park in Kaleidoscope, in my opinion is too open and the infatry is an easy target from helicopters or snipers, i love Kaleidoscope, but the park area a little less so.

Thank you for your attention, I hope this idea can give a touch of diversity to the list of currently available maps.

  • Hi, how is it possible to make developers read this urban map request?

  • I feel like DICE have realised big maps and 128 players wasn't the right choice in the end, hence all the original maps having their cap points brought closer together.

To be honest in previous games I felt like 64 players wasn't enough, but I can see that 128 is too many, so perhaps they need to look at something in between.  As it's likely to remain 4 man squads, I wonder if 80 (40 per side) might be the sweet spot?

Many of the older maps were based in towns and were much, much smaller than we have now - but they were great, these are the maps many of us would like to see in Portal.

I hope DICE scale things back for the next game, which will presumably leave more resources to make the game look even better?

  • @George_M951 GOOD LUCK. Been asking for urban maps or an infantry only map since season 1 (since everything battlefield has both of them). Plus we only get ONE map every long season of 12-18 weeks and we've already seen the season 6 map and know it will be urban nor infantry only probably. Oh, and here the devs go acting like this will be the biggest and best thing in battlefield ever that it's worth the wait when we all know it'll probably be just like 4 of the 5 seasons maps we got this far, mediocre with the same basic design as the rest, ONE, BIG Open map with generally flat terrain and 1 or 2 basic structures that are the main focus of the map (like the ships on stranded, discarded, the cube on spearhead, the tunnel on exposure, or oil rig on breakaway). Let's not forget NO DESTRUCTION, not even basic craters to take cover in that can be made from explosives (one had to be added on hourglass unlike bf1 where you could make that hole in the ground with a tank/explosives). Sorry to rant but I'm not going to get my hopes up anymore, iv been saying rework time is finally over and that they should step it up and make each season better to draw players back in by giving more than ONE map and double digit amounts of guns each season (10+). Instead they do the opposite, lay down on the community for an extra 6 weeks and give us "Redux" like we are supposed to be excited for that 🤢 sorry no thanks. I quit playing once I seen that dev update and iv been playing since launch (nearly 900 hours into this game)

I still wish we could get a remake of one of the more popular ones. I wonder if the launch hadn't gone as badly as it did.....that maybe with Portal they would have added some of the classics at some point

DICE has already shown that they cannot make small/CQC/Urban maps.

They even hype up CQC areas on each map and they are so tiny it is comical.

Flashpoint has that tunnel and center point and it is barely used and most of it is out of bounds on Breakthrough. Map an entire map out of the complex with fighting above and below every point.

Reclaimed has the buildings (small) and bunker, but that's it.

Spearhead has those huge buildings but they are one level and one vent shaft, yay. You can't even access the roof from inside or outside on the ground.

Exposure might have the best CQC area, but it is one point. Why not make an entire map like that with multiple levels with stairwells and tunnels for vehicle access?

Stranded has the most continuous indoor area in the ship but access to the top of the ship is limited.

Almost all the original maps were terrible for CQC too.
