Shotgun viablilitiy

Can we please get someone from the dev team to look into un-nerfing the MCS 880 and 12M auto. They guns have been relentlessly nerfed into a state when they're not even playable anymore, maybe the 880 moreso than the 12M auto, but it's literally unplayable with any expectation to kill someone and get points for combat. It didn't always do this, it use to be functional and fun. This is about the 10th thread with the same issue and not a single thing has been done.

  • @AuMordum I agree, however I also feel like shotguns have always been tricky to balance. One thing they should do, imo, is remove slugs so they cannot be used as snipers/assault rifles. If they buff them, then they just need to meet somewhere in the middle from the prior nerf.
  • @xVulture I don't see why do you want to remove the More Practice/ Less forgiving ammo type, on the 12M auto it's a sleeper Overpowered option but on the MCS-880 and NVK-S22 it's utterly useless
  • @AuMordum Adding Cancelling Reloading on the 880 and S22 would be a good help for shotguns since unlike other titles/games you can't interrupt the reload for some reason.

    @BownrInSweatPanz If not removal of slugs, then the range needs to be nerfed so they can't snipe from 100m+
    But honestly, I don't run into shotguns that often anyhow. When I do it seems legit as it is usually close combat range.
  • Every shotgun that has single cartridge reloading  should had been able to be fired during the reloading animation. Like in BF4.

    This is my biggest gripe with the 2042 shotguns.

    So far the only one I use a lot is the Super because it is a sidearm.
