@ElliotLHI will go to my grave arguing that you never showed as a red dot for firing your weapon in previous BF games. This has always been a COD feature and one of the reason I stopped after MW2
In BF games there has never been an AUTOMATIC marking/red dot for enemies. There has been player initiated markings which caused enemies to be marked 3d and on the map, even showing there classes in some games.
Never you fire gun you give away your position, its not battlefield and frankly its for children.
@Flavin913 That's absolutely fine but you are unfortunately incorrect. If you'd like to check, the Battlefield wiki should confirm this for you: https://battlefield.fandom.com/wiki/Suppressor
BF3:
"Suppressors are an attachment featured in Battlefield 3 and are unlocked through kill progression for primary weapons and through leveling up for suppressed variants of secondary weapons. They allow the player to fire their weapon without appearing on the enemy minimap"
BF4:
"The suppressors in the game are similar to the one in Battlefield 3, keeping the player off the mini-map when firing and reducing bullet velocity and hip-fire accuracy. Unlike Battlefield 3, however, the recoil and damage drop-off range of a weapon with a suppressor attached is unaffected."
