@80uwjx4m1chcFor me this right here is a non issue if you think about it for more than 1 second.

You want to be able to get to the action quick and not be in danger ?
Theses are conflicting wishes, you can't have both.

If you are spawning on a contested flag, you are gonna be spawning on a contested flag, there will be enemies around.

Spawn positions on flags are weighted against enemies positions, this can even be used by enemies to determine enemies positions. If you spawn north of an objective you can assume that the enemies are mostly south of your position.

If you want to be safe, there are options, spawn elsewhere.

@ugdpy   WoW. Thank you. The thought of spawning on another point never even occurred to me.

Now go read my initial post again, maybe even read it several times until it sinks in.

This was not a big issue with the other games before this, do some research, there have been lots of posts regarding this, but sometimes when it feels like every single round in certain games you simply have to vent on here.

And with previous titles we at least had a few seconds spawn protection where we could quickly dive behind some rocks ( Or a shipping container in 2042 ! ! ) or something to at least give you a fighting chance.

Oh, and I am not talking about spawning on a hotly contested flag either, I'm having the same issue even when selecting a flag where the action is apparently happening on another flag that's being contested, so I pick one that does not show any icons around it.

Yeah I have rounds like that a couple times a week. It's annoying that's for sure. 

Just like almost every other facet of this game, spawning locations are terrible.

I can't tell you how many times I have written in these forums to stop spawning players towards the enemy main spawn. So if the RU spawn is north, and I am spawning at the point nearest to their base spawn, why are you spawning me to that side of the flag? 

This is not changing in this title.

@AdamonicAs I said in my message, spawn positions are obviously weighted by enemy positions relative to the flag. If the enemy is north you will be spawned in the south area.

This is so predictable that it has become ridiculous, as if you are taking an objective you can guess the direction the enemy will come from to prevent you from capping that flag.

@80uwjx4m1chc Spawn protection would be a really bad idea and we will start to have posts complaining about "spawn protection noobs" popping up instantly. Maybe we should ask for spawn to be restricted only to the base area where you can't be shot at ?

This mechanic has to be a compromise between "spawn safety" and distance to the flag but this obviously can't be a perfect system, that's not rocket science

And in that case where do you want the game to spawn you ?

The spawning is a complete joke. You often spawn either in the middle of a capture-zone in an open area without cover or too close to/right in front of enemies.

If the game has any logic that tries to improve spawns, it must be severely bugged.

It seems like it would be easy to improve things, just by adding better spawn-points that are behind "cover/terrain".

For me bad spawning and bad netcode are some of the biggest annoyances in the game. These are very fundamental issues and they give players an awful experience.
