Objective spawn points are absolutely broken at the moment.There's absolutely no chance to spawn on an objective to defend it, because there will be 5 enemies looking at you, because the game decided to spawn you out in the open with 0 cover.I don't know what Dice was thinking or if any of the people responsible for this actually played their own game. This needs to be addressed asap. It's no fun to spawn in and die instantly because the game put you in front of 5 enemies without any cover to take.

@Boyler73i think it's worse that the spawn points seem semi-static.When people sit in vehicles on the field right behind D1 on renewal and wait for people to spawn at the corner of the building so they can mow down respawns as you said, that's a problem.It's a general problem in a lot of maps as has been said here already, not just on respawns, there's giant gaps between a lot of the objectives on all maps where you basically have to cross open ground and become vehicle bait unless you have a vehicle of your own.

@EA_BlueberryThis is my observation for Breakthru:The worst map since Thursday is Renewal > when I thinking about the first two points, I get flashbacks to BF3/B4, it comes close to a lockdown in your own spawn.The defenders can get way to close to your main spawn and if there is a little unbalance you are not able to get out and capture both points.This layout is ridiculous.Also, on every map I played since Thursday I have observed the same Issues as OP.If you have an own point that will captured by the enemy and you spawn on it, there is a very high chance (60%-70%) that you standing direct in front of enemies or in the open as a living target for everyone.

@EA_Blueberry almost all the maps have objectives where you spawn to the side of the objective, instead of behind it towards your own spawn.Renewal is a perfect example, if you own D1 or D2 (C128) as RU, you spawn to the sides of the buildings. D1 is the worst as you spawn in an open field where the enemy who may be capping that point just mow you down instantly.Orbital - For Breakthrough, US side for B1 spawns to the north of the facility (instead of behind it - East) right where enemy is attacking the point. They can camp the hill above you and just take you out instantly as you spawn.D1 for Orbital, you spawn in the open field to the North instead of behind cover to the east or west, depending on who owns it.Breakaway - At the oil rig, you spawn off to the side of the rig with no cover instead of in front or behind it depending on what faction you are on.Kaleidoscope - E1 and E2 - you spawn in the wide open to the side of the point, especially E2, when you spawn to the North. Easy pickins.Hourglass - basically every spawn as the entire map has zero cover.

Absolutely agreeJust played renewal US team and even when we held objective D1 and D2, when I spawned on them, I'd be put on the North East Side of the building. Directly in front of opposing base where there are 2/3 enemy vehicles ready to bust me up miles away from cover

You are absolutely right @Fringerunner ,The root cause of this problem is that there appear only to be one or two fixed spawn points for each flag/sector we may be able to spawn into. So not like 4-6 different spawn points available for each flag/sector as we have always had in previous BF games. Where then some game logic system is checking to see which of these 4-6 alternative spawn points is:where you have most of your own friendlies aroundwhere you have least of enemies just next to youwhere you have some level of protectionSo to enable a reasonable spawn point, where you are not just mowed down by enemies right as you spawn in. The current kill-harvesting by folks camping in a vehicle just at a singular enemy spawn point is horrible lazy game design.

Being specific helps like @trip1ex mentioned. There could be times where you spawn in and will not be in good shape. It's important to recognize how many enemies are showing up on the map for the spawn point you're dropping into. Sometimes, it's better to even wait until your team captures a different spawn point than trying to spawn in as quickly as possible. Observe the battle on the map and choose wisely. What we want to avoid are cases where players are able to take advantage of spawn points by camping them knowing players will spawn to rack up kills. It's important to give you cover when you're spawning but when there is a lot of chaos and you're knowingly jumping into it you have to expect a higher chance of not surviving, you know?

My favourite spawn location is right in the middle of the road in plain sight of enemies approaching A1 on Breakthrough Kaleidoscope. In general I think this is a problem with (most) maps, they are just too empty.

Hourglass A1-A3, B and D are really bad. A2 and A3 in the stadium are brutal. Half the time I spawn in the open on the inside and I am immediately killed. There are multiple levels, so I don't know why the spawns can't be inside on a different level there.
All the maps with open objectives have terrible spawn points. If you can't move spawn points, at least give an extra second of immunity so you have fighting chance.

How is it since the release of this game has the dev team have not fixed the spawn locations. How is it I spawn in front of the same TANK THREE TIMES IN A ROW!!!

Spawn points are trash and objective design is
absolute garbage. Spawned in the open hundreds of times resulting in hundreds of instant deaths.
Feels like most objectives and spawn points were designed by first year interns who never played a minute of Battlefield or any shooter for that matter.

Quite frankly it’s too many to mention. A complete review of all spawn points for all objectives needs to be done. If a spawn point is in the open, find a better location that has cover. I’m sure this will be quite difficult considering the fact that most objectives in 2042 lack proper cover.
Most respawn locations are too few, too predictable and extremely easy to camp.

Some of the worst.

- Renewal/Conquest 128. Objective D1 and D2. Spawns objective defenders in an open fields on both sides of the lab building in full view of the nearby enemy spawn. It’s literally open fields all around the objective. Often times players will just park a tank out in the field and farm defenders as the defenders spawn into wide open, flat grassy terrain.

- Objective’s A1, C1, D1, B1, E1 and E3 Hourglass. All spawn points lack overhead cover from enemy air. All points usually spawn the player into flat open desert. Again, because there are no bomb craters, no trenches or no sand bag emplacements, no cover, it will be difficult to find decent spawn points because the entire game lacks proper terrain and cover for infantry.

@flaversaver I remember that BF4 had the same issue, as I started playing, and that a later patch optimized spawn points, depending on enemy presence.
So if you spawn on a flag in the center on the map, you spawn towards the side with the more friendly flags.
About the general distance of the control area to the spawn point I imagine, someone assigned those with the map opened on a tablet, and saying 2cm looks pretty close. Or it still uses the Hazard Zone mechanics, to present a challenge.
