Specialists behind Battle Pass paywall?

Well, if all Specialists, Maps, Weapons, and Vehicles are going to be free for all players, then my mind is at ease and I think I can safely go for my decision to buy the Standard Edition only as I don't care about cosmetics.

They will be free, but my understanding is you can avoid the unlock grind by paying for the shortcut.  Depending on how much grinding is needed to unlock every specialist, will depend if you still think its 'pay to win' by the back door.  If its a few 10s of hours of game time for the average person to unlock them then thats one thing, if its hundreds, thats another.

@ninjapenquinuk I'm really hoping the grind won't be intense - I recently gave up on Fallout76 entirely as the grind became too much and it made playing unfun.

@ElliotLHi guess it depends how much the 'average' player, plays the game. I mean i probably only do an average 10-12 hrs gaming a week (a bit more if its a new game), due to work and family (unless they are out of the house on a weekend), but some 18 yr old uni kid could easily do 50 hours - though i'd have serious words with them to want to know why they are playing video games and not down the pub! So what would be a major grind for me, may just be a couple weeks casual gaming for someone else.
