I am one of the few that have grown to like BFV, I was OK with it when DICE announced they would stop development of BFV to make sure the next Battlefield would have a smooth release. Then, I was further encouraged when they announced additional studios were helping with development. It really looked like DICE learned their lesson from BFV and trying to get it right. Then came that jaw dropping release trailer. I was SOLD. This thing was going to be great. NOT.This thing they call Battlefield 2042 is an utter mess. The look and feel is as if the coders had no knowledge of the previous Battlefields. Doesn't even feel like a Battlefield game at all. It looks and plays as if it were coded by a 12 year old Fortnite player.I have been a Battlefield player since BF2. It has been downhill since BF4. Enough is enough.

It's a real shame they took so long to get Battlefield 5 good. Folk aren't going to wait around for 8 months for a product that should be working day one to get fixed. I sincerely hope they won't take that long to get 2042 into a good place because other games are starting to creep in on that large scale sandbox gameplay and Dice Sweden can't afford to ignore the competition any more. They can't afford 3 flopped games in a row.

@Tha_Growler The infantry combat was so much better in BFV from shooting, hit detection to movement... the movement good lord what were they thinking. 2042 is a dumpster fire.. it's like a game designed by first year interns.

@Tha_Growler They also cut Battlefront 2 support right as they got that game's content rolling. Cut it right before Clone Wars Season 7 Siege of Mandalore. Fans were convinced Ahoska Tano would be in the game, not to mention Mandalorian content.So what are the odds they work on this game for a year or two, then do the same? Cut support for the next "live service" launch.

I really enjoyed BFV as well. Not my favourite Battlefield (honestly 1942 and 2 are still my faves) but it ended up being pretty solid IMO, sound design was great, graphics were very good, some really cool maps and solid game modes. Honestly think I might just reinstall it and go back to playing it.

Get a refund if you can and warn others not to buy. There will be all kinds of assurances the bugs will be fixed. This is not just about bugs. This thing is pretty horrible top to bottom.

Couldn't agree more. Even something as simple as flying a little bird. It felt like I was flying a giant brick. Nothing like the one from BF4. Nearly 10 years ago DICE had the little bird controls being very fluid. BF2042 controls simply suck.
Did they even take a look at what worked well in BF4, BF1, or BFV?

You are right. I am no BFV fanboy. I hated it to begin with. I wanted a modern shooter. I had been playing BF4 since 2013. I more or less skipped BF1. Getting back to my point. They cut development on BFV a year early to assure the next BF was not released in the same state. Here just back in February of this year they claimed they were way ahead of schedule.

EA-DICE becomes a meme about how dont release a videogame.
Battlefield was great until BF1, V was ok after a lot of work but the TTK changes made this unplayable a lot of time and they promised things that never were released...
Portal have maps that I guess they should implemented in V, but they need content to Portal. Even these 2 maps are incomplete and feels empty.
Tons of performance problems, lack of content, bad desing.
Portal is the best because reminds old BF but no weapons XP, custom servers 0 XP. And even with less players still unplayable because of poor optimization.
EA-DICE you really deserve real consequences, I feel cheated, your product doesnt deserve even 1 USD, is unplayable, boring and bad desing in so many ways...
If you didny buy it, dont buy 2042. Maybe when it cost 10 USD...

That is exactly where I am. I don't say much about BF1 in part because I know so many loved it. I thought it was visually a good looking game. I just did not like the WWI theme. Although I like playing BFV OK I still wanted a modern FPS.
Something happened after BF4. DICE lost their soul.
