SUPER HIND: Please, nerf! Absurd caught on VIDEO
DICE!
Hinds, Wildcats and TORs are the pinnacle of BS! DICE, you gotta work on vehicle balance.
Can you fix this once and for all? This is ridiculous. Watch the video. What a pwnage!
Hinds are flying fortresses stronger than attack helicopters. When you nerfed repairs, you did not work on the root cause (although the nerf was welcome on tanks/CAV brawler).
Root causes:
1. The hind is too fast.
2. The lift is too strong and the Hinds will not lose altitude even when chasing other attack helicopters, supposedly faster. The resulting vector between 45 degrees up (resulting vector between lift and horizontal speed forward, 0 and 90 is 45 deg), and 90 degrees down (the weight) with 0 degrees (horizontal forward) should not be a straight flight forward because of the huge size of that helicopter. Your physics don't take into consideration the extreme weight of the vehicle. As shown in the video below, the Hind is capable of a FAST and perfectly horizontal flight at a full speed faster than the stealth helicopter, as fast as it diving. The video shows the stealth helicopter losing altitude to run away from said "transport helicopter", while it should be able to flee, unless the Hind trades altitude for horizontal speed.
3. The miniguns hit too far, the spread is minimal, and the overheating recovery is too fast, so 2 miniguns won't give any break to those running away from the Hind. There is no relief, no gap to start healing. It is a non stop bullet shower.
4. It's health is too high.
Therefore, the Hind has room for balance improvements in basically everything. You made no significant changes to these vehicles since launch, except when you nerfed the 50mm, but then you recently increased the "clip" size from 8 to 10, which was not needed for this vehicle.
The Hind should be a TRANSPORT helicopter. It should not be chasing other helicopters and tanks, and it should be running away from a Wildcat (IT DIDN'T GIVE A DAMN, WATCH THE VIDEO). The Hind should take a defensive stance once in a while, and not shred other attack helicopters and jets, as it is not it's job. When in trouble vs another helicopter, the Hind should seek refuge over his team's Wildcat, or take advantage of it's large health bar to run away from helicopters while it can be repaired. It should RESIST fire from attack helis, and find the right distance to fight back, chip away some damage in self defense, NOT obliterate the opponent.
I.e.: The Hind should have a more defined role and be FORCED TO TEAM PLAY. Despite being a 6-seater, it is still a transport vehicle which should not be self sufficient and double down as an attack helicopter. Finally it is much stronger than the Condor. The spot where the Condor is now is the spot where the Hind should be as well, for balance.
WATCH THE ABSURD IN THIS VIDEO:
No teamwork was able to take on these guys. Trust me, the score was 0 k, 0d, 68 assists for the pilot (Conquest 64), and the three people repairing got ranked well, one of them was placed second with hundreds of support points.
Statistically, with 68 kills (CQ 64), this vehicle alone wiped the whole team (32) twice and a bit over, including me, an attack vehicle. The effect is crippling. The score is pretty good evidence.
It would not be a problem if the Hind was an actual TRANSPORT helicopter. In this match, we basically had no vehicles as their vehicles free to advance flags while we got flanked, destroyed, emasculated, despite doing our homework. At a point, their wildcat was at B1 shooting down everything that spawned. From B1, on top of a hill, all our vehicles got spawn trapped.
Although I think the Wildcat could be doing a better job for our side and maybe we could at least breath, this video shows the Hind CHASING AND OUTPERFORMING THREE ATTACK VEHICLES FOCUSING EXCLUSIVELY ON IT, meaning, the Hind had to defend itself and run away, but instead it faced all three of us, giving zero fuchsias. Whilst the face off was a 6 vs 3, i.e.: two engineers and three gunners + 1 pilot (6 players) in the Hind, versus 3 players (I don't think anyone else was in the wildcat), and at a point, four or five (a tank with a gunner), i.e., Hind=6 versus Others=4 or 3, the Hind is still ONLY one vehicle, and it was a TRANSPORT VEHICLE.
DICE, ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND???
CLEARLY, THE HIND IT IS NOT PLAYING ITS TRANSPORT ROLE.
Link:
You should balance vehicles based on it's maximum potential, not buffing them because new players don't realize it's potential (as when they do, this is what happens).
The wildcats and TORs , which could have helped, are another issue for another day.
LASTLY: CAN YOU, PLEASE, MAKE THE FXM AND AA-IR MISSILES HIT SOMETHING??? THREE OUT OF SEVEN (3/7) WERE COMPLETELY USELESS!
TL;DR: Watch the video.
