Swords and bows

Question

Okay, I know this is probably stupid, but like, does anyone agree with me? that they should add a sword (Like a claymore) or a similar melee weapon in the list of unlockable weapons? That, and I want a bow again, I'm positive I used one in battlefield 4, and I loved it. (well, 4 or 3, its been years) I'm sure there's quite a few people that would enjoy having a bow as a weapon, long range shots, light skinned vehicle perice, explode tips that reduce range, similar to cross bow but well, a military grade bow. I get 2042 is like near future war, but there's always going to be dumb people doing dumb things, a neutral faction of rebels not associated with any the other, being that there techs a bit older as they don't have the resources, it could work lore wise, sorry if I'm rambling and trying to make it believable to happen, I just really want them in 2042, I do enjoy this game, I'm disappointed about the no story mode, but its still battlefield, the gameplay core mechanics, vehicles everything is so much fun, I love it, and I want to love it even more, so that's why I'm asking. Thanks for listening (or well reading) my thoughts on this! x)

(side note, I think hazard zone should have a bot lobby mode, as I wanna play it but literally every single time I've ever queued I've never made it in because of a lack of players)

@Lisa_Ateria_Lost The game is out of support and won't have any meaningful additions at this point. Your best hope is that something similar will be in the next edition of the game [rumored for 2025]. I can't see them adding a sword, to be honest, at best maybe you will have a machete and or a baton to differentiate from a standard knife (although I'd want a bipod for either of those!)

A bow, you're correct, in that the Phantom bow was unlockable in BF4 via a decent-length quest line. (and then eventually via a much shorter method). I wouldn't be opposed to it, but it seems redundant vs 2042 when it's largely already there with the crossbow.

Basically there won't be new content, if battle pass missions come back it will just be re-running old ones. it's not like there will be new seasons.
