Please note the tank armor in Battlefield 2042 is too weak, the tank turret moves too slowly after being damaged and the tow missile is a joke.I've been playing Battlefield since 1942 and the tank physics need to be corrected in accordance with the tank physics of Battlefield 2 or 4.Furthermore, we can't even leave or join different squads, kick worthless squad members or even find a mortar accessory.Please note the above and take corrective action as DICE and EA have consistently disappointed the Battlefield community.

The tanks need to get an agility similar to BF3/4.Better acceleration, faster turrets and better turret angles to aim at helicopters higher above.Other than that maybe they could get the option to sacrifice a passenger seat for an APS system that can foil 1 projectile every like 10-15 seconds

It takes them all of two seconds to toss three things of C5 and run a few feet away and live.Then there’s the other problem you mentioned, how easy it is for enemies to get near you in a tank like Sundance, enemies spawning right next to you after clearing that exact spot only a moment ago, and it being relatively easy for anyone to parachute and drop basically right on a tank if the tank isn’t completely hauling it.Air vehicles have been more tanky then the actual tanks in BF2042.

They ruined the tanks, starting with bfv. Rumor is that one of the designers had a rager for WoT and decided to try for more realistic tank physics. Sounded cood on paper. But, the rest of the game has much more arcade style movement. Look at soldiers, air, transport vehicles, gadgets, etc. They slowed the tanks down for "realism" but left all of its opposition in arcade mode.

Vehicle spawns are much longer, infantry can just keep re-spawning on point.I don’t think you realize just how difficult it is to drive the tank. Everything is so slow about it. Dice sure love their geometry and give you infinite opportunities to get stuck. There’s so many challenges to protecting yourself from enemies that are very close to you, and nearly impossible to keep distance with how the maps are designed, Sundance, spawns, etc. There’s 64 players per team. That’s a lot of opportunity for rockets, being hacked, C5, and then there’s aircraft you can’t do anything about. You’re kinda right, it’s not a given or the easiest thing to just run up and C5 every vehicle with 100% success rate. If the team has bit of coordination you get punished instantly in a tank if you slightly overextend. I’m talking like 20 yards or being on the wrong side of a point being fought over while on the move. The problem I have when it comes to the balancing between ground and air is that air vehicles can disengage a lot easier, they’re far harder to hit in 3d space, you have to be specially equipped to deal with them, and they won’t get stuck on anything. Aircraft can carry all the weight in the world without any penalty and move freely. I usually don’t care about realism, but the Condor is just ridiculous in every way. It breaks all the laws of physics lol. I’m glad they’re finally balancing air vehicles, but it took a while. Tanks need a turret speed buff, nothing crazy, but literally any increase would be great. Turn radius could be improved, I have to brake, then give it gas, and feather it through turns. It’s pretty obnoxious it takes that much work to make just regular turns. Even standing still and trying to rotate seems slower than what a tank could do in real life. Alright, that got a little lengthy. Sorry.

@Dez_ZR1-VIPERI think overall tanks are in a pretty good spot. They could use a couple small tweaks though.The turn speed for the turret is painfully slow. It was pretty jarring at first, I've gotten use to it, but the speed could be increased a little. I don't care how little, I would take any speed increase.The second thing is that Sundance shouldn't be able to carry C5. She can fly to anywhere on the map quickly while being fairly stealthy.Hacking is also another annoying thing. I'm not sure what the cool down is between being hacked is in a tank? It feels pretty quick though, and the damn thing feels like an eternity when you've been hacked. Maybe you could still fire? Time after you've already been hacked could take longer until you're susceptible to being hacked again?When you have a good team, you can go ham with a tank and do pretty well depending on the map. If the enemy team has a pro pilot and you're team just isn't working well together, it's miserable.

@DigitalHype As someone that's been a tank enthusiast since Bad Company 2, I like the change and like that there's weight to tanks. They should be slow, but strong to an extent. It also works in favor for game balance and immersion. Tanks that can reach full speed immediately and look anywhere instantly with the turret is not good for game balance.

I think the air vehicles need the same treatment though. Condors look pretty silly a lot of times, flying upside down, hovering when it's probably the heaviest vehicle in the game. Heli's are able to do some pretty crazy maneuvers, I understand that they probably can do a lot of that in real life too, but they wouldn't be effective in combat flying like that. Plus, if we're talking about realism, one rocket would definitely take a Heli down of any size I'd imagine.

@GrizzGolf I think it has less to do with anti-tank weapons being too strong and rather the over saturation of anti-armor weapons in the game, from Rao's Hack, Casper's Drone, C5 Drones, SOFLAMS, Landmines, Sundance C5s, Bolte Landmining, AGMs, Lis, and Poor map design for both vehicles and infantry. Suffice to say, balance is not good right now for any vehicle category as well weapon categories.

The only time armor is safe, is when they're moving with the line of infantry which I think is great, armor should be encouraged and incentivized to fight alongside the line of infantry. As a Irish I always put down sentinels near armor if I'm close to them.

@DigitalHype I trained on a MBT in the late 80th and the BF2042 tanks feel like a tin box with loose screws in it compared to the real deal.

I can live with the decision that gunner and driver are the same in an arcade shooter.

But the turret turn speed is too slow.
The movement speed forward and backward should be the same, and also faster.

On the wildcat the dual 30mm anti-air gun should have a 180° dome, and a much faster turret turn speed. Maybe they should max turret turn speed link with movement speed.

Lis has changed the land vehicle game.   They no longer roam with impunity. Now, you have to be a good pilot. You cannot sit in one spot, hit your radar and epeen your never ending ammo and kills.   You have to learn to position. You just cant sit in spawn and unload. EZmode is gone for land vehicles.

Air is king.   Air will always be king. That being said, the Lis bug isnt helping. I cannot tell you how many missiles has gone through my target without detonating.
Personally, I think removing Borg Regen from all vehicles will create a lot of balance.   It will magnify the need to use the R2D2 repair tool, to equip the auto repair bot.
Also the player regen. Make Falck valuable and the gadget heal pen useful again.

Yup they’re in a * point right now, turn way to slow and every little slope just messes up your aim and you’re no longer able to kill the infantry making circles around you or the wheels get stuck somehow. Trash mobility going on here, and the MPAT shells for other vehicles isn’t worth carrying when the big issue is infantry surrounding you. The hit registration for HEAT shells has been abysmal as well lately since 1.1. I shoot near the enemy to get the hit marker, HOW DID THEY LIVE? It’s a damn tank shell, and leaves the enemies not even worried about you.

Tank are not too weak.
It just no one use Repair Kit and teamwork in 2042…

Overall I don't think the Main Battle Tanks need a turret rotate speed buff. I think it's fine as it is. It's already quite decent in my opinion. The Anti Air Tank does need a turret rotate speed and angle of attack buff when it's using the Anti Air Guns, (Not when it's using the other guns, otherwise it would become OP).

I think the Spotter seat needs an APS system. And that the Tanks need more damage resistance to grenades. It's weird how a fragmentation grenade can do enough damage to sometimes break the "tracks" of a tank. Only a rocket or a mine should do this, but then again, the "onboard repair thing" can quickly fix the "tracks".
i don't think there should be a 3rd person view for vehicles. infantry doesn't get it so vehicles shouldn't. i know it's been there for a long time but i've always thought 3rd person view was *

But I totally agree, as might every classic and hardcore player, 3rd person view should be disabled for all vehicles per default.
