Thank you EA for banning cheaters!

A few disclaimers before I make my points.

First, I love BF2042. I've played it for many years and have reached the S675 level. The many, many positive aspects of the game outweigh the negatives.

I'm on an XBox console, and because I've played video games most of my life, I'd say I'm an above-average gamer. But there are many, many better gamers than me.

Regarding cheating, EA should have a solid, fair anti-cheating policy and to the extent that they falsely believe a user is cheating, I'm sorry to hear about that. It hurts to be falsely accused and be innocent.

That said, I see cheating in nearly every game. For example, the last game I played last night an excellent pilot in a Nighthawk got 105 kills and 1 death. In that game, there were few, if any, bots. The map was Hourglass. He killed me zigging, zagging, and even free-falling at an angle. His bullets didn't miss. It didn't matter what happened, his bullets found me and all the others. He ruined the game. The larger problem is that it's common--nearly every game there's someone like that. I could give many user names but I won't.

I'd like to also point out the "Soldier Aim Assist" and "Soldier Aim Assist Zoom Snap". I have these set at 100%. Let me be clear--there is no assist. There is no zooming or snapping that happens. It's my thumbs on wiggle sticks that contribute to me being a poor aim. I've practiced for many years, and even a below-average PC player will kill me 75% of the time. In fact, about 80% of all players that kill me are PC's. The advantage PC's have over console is significant. When PC cheaters install hacks, the advantage is monumental.

Even so, I still think BF is a lot of fun and will continue to play it and report cheaters. Thank you EA for trying to maintain the integrity of the game. It's a serious up-hill battle. Please keep finding and banning cheaters.

  • According to the analysis of other game companies, cross-play leads to smoother in-game matching, enables communication with communities across different platforms, and also reduces server maintenance costs.

  • Where did you get the idea that cheaters have been banned? There are still hundreds of cheaters on the servers.

  • Can someone help me? I don't understand how to make a post in the forums. I cannot find any "New post" or simliar anywhere? I want to ask a question, I received an invite to Battlefield Labs test, the instructions tell me to download Battlefield Labs from EA app, but there is no such such download.
