Ever since the new spawn into vehicle system was introduced in BF3/4 (correct me if i'm wrong) the vehicle side of the game has gotten progressively worse. It used to be fairly easy to get a vehicle, maybe not a fighter jet or a MBT but you could usually get some vehicle with offensive capabilities, like a LAV or a Little Bird. But ever since the nerf to the number of vehicles available in BF2042 it is basically impossible to get a vehicle, and with maps as large as these it's way more annoying than earlier titles.I'm by no means a vehicle player but I did enjoy jumping into a tank/chopper from time to time and have some fun. But unless you're hell bent on getting one you're pretty much doomed to either getting lucky at the start of a round or spending half the match waiting for someone to die and ruining you'r teams chances of winning in the process.With vehicle combat pretty much ruined except for the few people that spam the spawn button the whole match, we're basically stuck playing a infantry only game. But with way worse gunplay than COD and maps that's not designed to be played infantry only

Unlike you, I’m highly qualified can give a fair and balanced, professional brief back on my personal experience without bringing personal insults or biases into the equation.For starters 2042 Devs threw out the formula that worked magnificently in previous titles of only allowing certain vehicles and certain airframes per map, depending on the terrain on each map.Previous BF games, on any specific map, might have 2 gunboats, 4 RIBS(rubber inflatable boat) a Little Bird and a Huey, plus 1 jet per team. With the 2042 formula, you’d see 2 Hinds, an attack heli, 2 tanks, and a MAV plus 2 gunboats and 4 RIBS per team. Way too many vehicles.Some BF1 maps might only have 1 tank per team and zero aircraft. Not so in 2042. They’d have 2 Condors, Attack heli, 2 tanks, the MAV plus call ins on the same exact map with zero concern for how the number of vehicles effects the infantry portion of the game for that specific map. The 2042 vehicle to infantry ratio/formula is lazy with ZERO forethought put into how many vehicles are appropriate for each map. DICE simply shoves every vehicle possible on every map. That includes the Classic maps where they add the 2042 specialist and 2042 vehicles. This has been to the detriment of the infantry vs infantry portion of the game. The ever present Death Stars(Condor and Hind) It’s like playing BF1 with both teams on every single map always having an enemy Zeppelin overhead.

The funny part is that TRANSPORT choppers are stronger than attack choppers!! 50mm stupid must be removed from these flying tanks, these are TRANSPORTs, not attack vehicles who sweep the entire map from the beginning! we need TV missile on attack choppers like before ASAP!

Tanks and also wildcat are useless at the moment. Wildcat is devastated in seconds by Hind. Having powerful cannon and armour, it is a flying tank having two places for repairmen.What an earth devs were thinking making those, just stupid.

The Super Hind can eat 4 stinger like a tank. It is a joke already!

@FlottbombPart of the problem in 2042 is the fact that 3 of the main “transport” vehicles are actually mobile Death Stars that also happen to carry troops.

MAV, Condor and Hind are infantry killing machines. This breaks total vehicle balance when you add mobile Death Stars to the tanks and gunships vs infantry.
Instead of reinventing the wheel why doesn’t DICE use the same formula they used in BF4? Not every map needs every vehicle in game and every vehicle has a vehicle that’s a hard counter. Jets vs helo comes to mind.
Also 2 condors and 2 hinds on every single map is ludicrous. Especially the smaller classic maps. On the Classic BF maps each team should only get 1 Condor and 1 Hind.

@DuaneDibbley I was about to also share this butyou beat me to it.
The bf4 stealth jets could keep the helis in check but not devastate the tanks bellow.
The bf4 little bird did not had that rocket pod cheese.
There was always a slot for an AA tank.

@GigaGogleAbsolutely right. I’ve tried to make that same point in other threads. Removing vehicles is NOT the answer. Having plentiful vehicles (especially armored and attack air) in a BF game traditionally changes the style of play so vehicles are providing cover from enemy vehicles at objectives. A lot less chaotic and more objective-focused than what we have now in 2042.
