- ElliotLH4 years agoHero+Hi @Lord_WlnW This has been asked in several other threads, but is not something which has been confirmed at this time.
You will need to keep an eye out for future announcements. Ok im waiting 😉
But i thnik case like mous&keyboard support should be confirmed with crossplay confirmation.
Crossplay in First Person Shooter betwen PC and consoles without thist support is sensless to play 😉
I cannot buy the game without this confirmation 😉
Dont ceep me waitning to long pls 🙂So the Pc community ruins another great title great....😒
First, if it wasn't for the PC community you wouldn't have FPS games, especially the BF series. Console games for the most part have been holding back innovations since they are stuck to technology cycles that are 10 yrs old. Its still the PC community/environment that drives tech innovations for the console have to catch up to at the end of a cycle.
With that being said, I personally started transitioning to KBM supported games on the consoles instead of the PC. My primary reason is for a more secured environment to play games. At least that was my hopes. Sadly with the lack of hardware restrictions on 3rd party tools like the Cronus, the consoles are going to have hacks whether its cross play or not. I got sick of playing BF1 and V on the Xbox knowing that Cronus players were dominating a controller only game. But in reality I can't blame them in this scenario as EA/DICE didn't give the input option as they should for a FPS.
EA needs to step up into the next generation and unlock the ability for all players to fairly use the valid input of their choice. Besides controller players already have their set of advantages baked in to offset many of the KBM advantages.
Hardware developers need to place additional safeguards on the consoles to restrict what can be utilized beyond a general input. I'd gladly pay a premium on an input device to ensure that 3rd party cheats are blocked.
Great news people! Great news! A welcome to all platforms.
I make @Lord_WlnW my words "I cannot buy the game without this confirmation"
Actually, I cannot pre-order the Ultimate edition without this confirmation. Please don't keep us waiting.
- @Trokey66 If you want to play that game... one could easily ask "why should the game originally developed for PC change the input just for console players?"
So for an inclusion of the KBM on console isnt out of the question when using your own argument. - Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace
@QuinReisenNot really.....
There was no Battlefield on console before Bad Company (console specific) after which the franchise was 'all platform' with the console versions not supporting KB&M.Until the development of emulators, console was pure controller so of course, games on console are going to be controller only, that is a no brainer.
Choose your platform, choose your input device. - VOLBANKER_PC4 years agoSeasoned Ace
@QuinReisenMax. player count for BF1 pr. platform has PC at the bottom:
https://battlefieldtracker.com/bf1/insights/population?days=-1
So at least for BF1, console players were the vast majority compared to PC players.Edit: Ok, this is peak population for each platform, not sales 🙂
Still, peak population must be a good indicator for how big sales pr. platform were.
- OkamiToge4 years agoSeasoned Ace@AthenaKniight It has nothing to do with being 'poor' m&k belong on PC that's why consoles exist to be played with a controller to not have to deal with PC players or peripherals.
Thanks God we are evolving. And now we can use multiple inputs in all platforms @Trokey66.
And by the way, consoles are tiny PCs these days. The main difference would be the OS.
