AddAscensionPoints not working in rule editor

it seems that no matter what i do i cannot get this action to work, and ive tried EVERYTHING. all i want to do is make it so when i start my portal mode every player starts out with a set amount of ascension points but it seems i cannot do this with the action block made for it, also after lots and lots of frustration and searching it seems like this might have been a feature in the simple part of the experience editor and if that is the case i have zero access to that option and cannot do anything with ascension points other than add them to my game.
