Battlefield 2042- black screen after match found

Hello, re-downloading and playing the game at season 2, I was pleasantly surprised and the game was actually working...

After a session or two, the fun was over and the technical problems had returned big time...

After a game is found the timer drops to 0 and a black screen appears with sound still working in the background after a couple of seconds (10 sec approx.)  the black screen fades and I return to the main menu.

I did EVERYTHING in every troubleshooting guide I've seen. I downloaded the game 3 times!!!!! I removed settings... basically can't play the game.

Please return my money or help me play the game.. This is undeniably worst problem I had with any game in the recent years!

  • @Razan1303 Thanks after disabling UPnP now I can enter the match but no one inside the match only a waiting player.

@mash3l007  It's interesting that disabling UPnP fixes the issue but it says you're the only player in the lobby waiting for the match to start?

Do you have crossplay turned on?

IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE THE PICTURE (WINDOWS 10)

  • I ended up uninstalling it as it was a waste of money and nothing is being done to fix it.

  • 11/10/2023 It looks like the anti-cheat doesn't like controllers on PC Even if you're not using them, doesn't like macros doesn't like anything. It freaks out on mechanical keyboards rgb hubs it's so bad that had to bust out the old e waste keyboard that originally came with my ASUS computer like 12 years ago. Luckily my newer computer motherboard still has a PS2 port no fancy mice either. Two buttons only and scroll wheel Even though when I plugging my controllers it says they're working just fine. But something is wrong if you're ping drops a little bit for some reason, instead of detecting that you stopped moving cuz there's no ping, it keeps moving in that direction without stop. It doesn't catch itself and assumes are cheating I'll be aiming in One direction. It'll lag and my controller will think I'm still holding that direction and also doing 360s without touching the controller which makes it think it's cheating PC couch gaming is still a thing I thought that's why we had cross play. My PC is sitting next to my 70-in. What am I supposed to do? Sit on the floor with a mouse and keyboard? I don't like my computer at a desk and the fov is capped too low Even with the resolution at full 4K it's too close I'm having to play in window mode leaving with all that I can get. Maybe five matches before it black screens. These last few days have been terrible. It's been one match, especially on Rush or breakthrough they said the rendering issue or that the textures didn't load. It's not true. It's because the anti-cheat kick did in black screen you makes you completely close out a battlefield if you're getting a black screen, just open up the game. Start a match. Leave your game open. Wait a couple minutes. You'll get auntie cheat warning every time I factory reset my computer because of this game a couple times it doesn't help and obviously with the reset I had to reinstall EA app that doesn't work that they specifically tell you to turn off the overlay just to install battlefield again and have the same issues

@butertost as the black screen after matches has been around for a bit, I dont think it has anything to do with the anticheat. Also, I have a xb1 controller and an amazon gaming controller plugged into my 8 port usb hub along with a mmo mouse with 20ish buttons and my logitech g910 mechanical kb, so some of what you are experiencing has nothing to do with the anticheat/blackscreen issue
  • the black screen has returned..after a match i cant do anything but restart my pc! i also stopped getting my bf coins long ago and its stuck at 1800. im about done with this pos game
