Have done the first and won't be doing the other 2, because I'm pretty sure it will brick my system or it just won't work. The laptop doesn't have a mux switch, the display is still handled by both GPUs the heavy load on 3050 and the information is put through the IGPU into the display. Nvidia GPU can not connect straight into the monitor nor is there a way to have an external display only connected to the Nvidia GPU. If I disable the IGPU I am sure the display will just not work.
@Opakaz1 try turning off Hybrid mode in Lenovo Vantage or the BIOS of the machine.
This should allow the laptop to always use the Nvidia card.
Update us please !
PS check also if there is a bios update !!!!

The system does not have hybrid mode, but updating the BIOS Did help for One match. The game ran fine for the duration, on mid settings 60 fps. The same problem is now back, I updated everything else and tried nvidia control panel settings again, but the game isn't using the 3050 again. Other games are running fine.

hey there. So it seems that alognside other games such as age of empires 4, the game does acheck comparing available VRAM on all devices and chooses one that way, TERRIBLE design choice. The solution? go into your bios and decrease allocated ram for integrated graphics from 4gb to 2gb
hope this helps!
