Summarize your bug Exodus CQ, CQ, Portal, All modes. At launch I could play any mode under 64 players. (45-60fps @ 1080p). After the season 2 launch, all game modes became unplayable. the issue I face is stuttering (me + everyone else) on foot or in vehicles. It feels as though I'm walking in molasses, for instance when i walk forward and release the "W" key i continue to go forward for a few seconds. this issue normally only occurred on 128 modes; however, it is now affecting smaller player modes, making the game completely unplayable. Things I have tried: *Reinstalling windows (wiped everything) i tried windows 10 and 11 with the same issue. *Reverting graphics drivers and updating to the latest version. *Purchased two new routers of different brands. *Tested two different ISPs, both are 1 gig. * Tested game on clean boot with no other programs running other than what is needed for the game and windows operating system. (Same result) *Tested game on different drives< NvMe, Hard drive @7500rpm, SSD drive by western digital (high read/write speeds) Summery: I do not have the ability to change my CPU or GPU. I have not increased my ram from 8 to 16. I run an Intel core i5 10300H, 8 gigs of ram @3600mhz, 1650ti 4 gig. My system did not have any overclocks, no overheating. the game is set to high performance under windows graphics settings and in the Nvidia control panel. all setting in Windows are set up for gaming. Battlefield 2042 is the only game out of 300 games I have that produce this issue.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Given that this is an engine side issue I cannot tell you how to reproduce it.
What happens when the bug occurs? may or may not be related however, the game will often crash with no error, or dx12 error, or GPU removed error (driver crash) Sometimes while in a match the game will eject me out to the lobby due to a EAC policy violation.
What should be happening instead? gameplay should run as expected considering my setup.

This is on 128 however the issue has become evident in all modes.

In this video i was getting 45-55fps, no packet loss. my internet was stable, and my pc was also stable.

if you need me to record an Exodus CQ version please let me know and i will do so.

Thank you guys!

@Rokebo73 It's on the original raw video. i was averaging 45-60 fps. needless to say, the game is still very poorly made and unoptimized. still though with the server tick rate being 45hz and most of the time dropping below 30hz it shouldn't matter that much. if its any help i run most other games at medium to high 1080p at 100+ fps. new titles.
  • I am having significant issues with the game after the most recent update. I was getting over 100 fps on a modern rig (16ddr4 ram, 12900k, and 3080ti) and now I am getting 20 fps in game. I cannot figure out what is going on.

    lo there,

enable via the console perfoverlay.drawFPS 1  and  make small video plz

  • @EA_Atic around 60-90% on 64 and 128 player modes, as I said it ran better before with higher resolution and mix of mid/low settings even on CQ128 with occasional stuttering but not at this level

@LuckyShotsXL disable the onboard GPU (intel)
Also update your bios , F8 first and all others , up to the latest/newest one F20.
    I also see 2 monitors connected , 1 at 59.x Hz and 1 at 144Hz.
Play the game at the monitor that is set to 144Hz (also check in game settings if its still run at 144hz , change , apply and set back at 144hz and apply)

Did any update solve your problem already ?
  • So I got tired of digging for solutions and nuked the system. I reinstalled windows and got rid of all the applications. After redoing everything the game runs fantastically. I cannot say what cause it.

For your recommendations, prior to reinstalling, I disabled the onboard gpu and tried shifting the game across monitors with no success. Now that I see the 59 hz, I wonder if that was the problem, as I have a 100 hz monitor, but thinking about it more I don't know if that was the real solution as I was getting 21fps in game no matter what monitor I was snapped to.

@LuckyShotsXL yes a reinstall windows is very often the best way to get rid of all kind of issues. Windows get slow/dirty after molnths/years of install and uninstall all kind of software. Registry gets way to big with leftovers and make windows some kind of unstable/slow., it also makes hardware respond in a way ya dont expect!

Im glad fresh new windows install did fix your issues ! (your system will br faster to now !)

    Game on !
    Cheers
  • @SkyIerMalia did ya already try to disable evrything at your system (cleanboot). With your current system cfg its hard to get some real FPS without stutter. Disable as many services as posible to get more performanc (about25 serveices to disable , google for it).
And your memory is bottleneck at this moment only 8 makes your machine and drives really work HARD to get it up and running!)

Google how to boost sustem in google to get that bit more performance, Cheers.
  • EA's garbage friend list is broken again tonight. Imagine that.

Imagine making 7 billion a year and still being unable to create a functional friend list.
