BF 2042. Conquest not loading. issues on El Alamein 28.04.2026

Hello,

I’m experiencing issues with Conquest mode, especially on the El Alamein map.

Since the weekend (April 25–26, 2026) and still today, I’ve noticed that the game often fails to load into a match, matchmaking seems stuck or takes very long, and sometimes I get a black screen or get returned to the menu.

It seems more noticeable when El Alamein is in rotation, but it might be affecting Conquest in general.

Platform: PC
Region: EU
Mode: Conquest (64 or 128)

Is this a known issue currently? Are other players experiencing similar problems?

    Hi,I don’t think this is related to my setup.
    I’m experiencing the exact same issue on a completely fresh installation on a new PC. The problem still occurs, especially when Battlefield 2042 tries to load Conquest with the El Alamein map in rotation.

    This suggests it’s not caused by leftover files or a broken install on my side. It looks more like a server-side or matchmaking issue.

    Uninstall, clear caches's and remnants of the old install, download fresh copy that is your only hope.   Individual map is your machine not an EA bug...reinstall ...hopefully that helps but you propbably already did that :-)
